Sump pumps, sand bags, and building a business

I live is Los Angeles, so I got to deal with the heavy rain and flooding all last week. I'm not complaining, it just helps to make my point (I know there are many who dealt with way worse). Point is, my back door is 4 inches above the ground. I had to buy 3 sump pumps to get the water out fast enough, and then put 12 sand bags in front of my door. It sucked, and it took most of the day while it was raining, but my house doesn't flood. What does this have to do with anything?

Building an IM business is very similar; you have to figure out where you are having problems and do whatever you need to do to fix it and get it done. Some days, this will take a ton of time, effort, and work ethic, it will suck; and you might not even see results. That's just how it is.

The good news is that if you formulate a plan of action, no matter how simple it is, and follow it every single day; you will make money. Especially if you only use free traffic methods, you will profit. Once you have money coming in though, you can to figure out what to do with it. Don't just go out and buy another ebook, invest it in what works for you.

Personally, I go through my IM finances every 2 weeks, but if there isn't much going on, once a month is fine. Just get a pen, a calculator, and a stiff drink, then see how you're doing! I've attached a VERY rough P+L template to use if you'd like. Merry Monday!
