I am starting to build my e-mail list and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on good ways to go about doing it or any list building products that are good to buy. Thanks in advance for the help!

You are not helping it with your sig here for starters.

On your blog, you need to have an AR in the sidebar to sign up for something. Upper right or left.

Give me a secret or something juicy.

I don't see it now above the fold.
(that looks like a search bar - not a "enter name for secret"

Put up a opt-in form on the right hand side.

Give a call to action for a free report, ebook or video.

Send them to a relevent squeeze page.

      Collect email address.

      Get an autoresponder service.

      Hope this helps.

If you want to make huge list fast and grab credibility, then give your visitors precious product free. Give them something which they dont expect free. This way your trust will increase and your list will continue to buy from you.

Building a list fast doesn't necessarily mean you gain anything from it. You have to remember to build relationship along the way or it's all for naught. Along those lines, the autoresponder sequence that gave me the most insight about building relationships was Six In Seven.

Jeff Walker created it a long time ago (I doubt it's been updated in years), but he really is a master of likability and story telling. His product launch formula pages are usually a good example of how to do a squeeze page. He sells to the IM croud so I'm not sure how effective his methods are as you move into other niches.

Well, the first thing you need to do is find yourself an autoresponder, then put the signup link to your autoresponder account on your blog.

The way I would do it, is just tell them straight up front that signing up allows me to let you know when the blog gets updated via email.

If you have a good e-course you could offer that to your visitors for a signup, but doing that may turn people off so test my way and yours to see what works better!

Final piece of advice: Don't get good, get started.
