Default SOCIALSAM MEMBERSHIP SITE QUESTION - PAYING FOR BACK ISSUES???

We are looking into using SocialSAM as a platform for our membership site.

What we want to do is publish a multi-media monthly newsletter where a member's access to back issues is denied - HOWEVER we want the option to sell them individual back issues. We prefer to not have them downloadable but simply to be able to pay to view the back listed newsletter. Is this possible???

Does anyone else do this already with another platform?

Look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Hi Natalie

You could just put those back issues under our Articles section...and Make them subject to Aceess Control...ie. you can only access this article if you are a member of this package.

Secondly, you can make these issues available in our shopping cart. When they buy the product...you can allow to download the pdf. (sorry, we do not have the ability to 'just show the content on purchase'...although that's a good idea.)

I hope that answers your question.

Let me know how I can help.

Sincerely

Hi George,

Thanks for replying...

We don't want to make the article available to download, just to view, so if you could 'show content on purchase' (ie Pay per view) that would be really cool (I've seen MemberWing do this.) Something to add? *please?* Otherwise we're going to have to set up a separate archive 'package' for every back issue...which is really confusing as it's not about 'upgrading to premium membership' but more like extending your access on a pay per view basis...

Can I just say that the platform you have developed looks like it has immense potential, and even if we were not to use it for this particular product, I already have two or three business ideas that I believe would be a perfect fit.

Any idea when the affiliate scheme will roll out?

Thanks for your help!

Natalie

I'm a huge fan of George Tran and Social Sam. I've recommended his solution to a few people because of the ease of use and major functionality. I am in the process of setting up 1 membership site. Great to see you here George!

Cheers,
Terri
