New Google results feature.. "Results from your social circle..."

Have you all seen this? I didn't see a discussion on it..

I just saw a beta when I did a Google search. The last two results on the page have this header, "Results from people in your social circle for *my search term* - BETA - My social circle - My social content"

It then displayed two results, complete with photos of them, from their sites. Indeed, they were both people in my gmail contacts. One went to an ezine article they wrote, the other went to the guy's blog. Very nice headshots of each of them on the right.

Interesting new feature. Talk about personalized search results! Sheesh!

    I don't use gmail so I haven't seen that beta feature. However, it strikes me as kind of creepy. Maybe because it just goes to show your contacts aren't merely being "stored" -- there's a little blot/script taking a peek at them to give you those personalized results.
