How Can i Build Relationships With You Guys ?

Hi mates !

So every now and then i hear people in the IM market saying that relationships are key to success in this business and that the one should have a lot of "friends" and contacts ... and i see a lot of replies stating that the relationships we made in this forum are priceless ...

But ... let's say that i want to know more people for the purpose of getting them to become my JVs in the future when I'll be launching something and I'll do the same for them if needed, and in the same time build a real relationship with them and help them out if when ever they need help and maybe become partners ...

My question is : how the heck in the world should i approach you guys (Yes the WF members) for such a purpose ???

It's so confusing for me, i just can't get it ! I've been replying and participating for a quit a longtime know and i don't see that "opportunity" to talk to a member about something like this ...

Help please !

Thank you

    Hi Wexpert,

    Here's my take on it.

Use your real name, be yourself, participate in the forum, remember that we're all people here (well, most of us).

Also, how did you become friends with the people you know? It's basically the same thing, just online.

    All the best,
    Michael

That's a very good generalized explanation.

Some people might not agree, but I would say to work on building your reputation and name(built through relationships) before you should ever approach a JV partner.

If you have a big list, that helps also.

Basically you don't want to be seen as just some guy looking to make some quick bucks.

And yes, it takes time to build relationships! I'm talking years here.

You can start right away by contributing to peoples discussions, personally commenting on their blogs, twitter accounts, etc.

This is something I am working on a lot now.

Going to be spending at least a few hours a day interacting with the community.

I think if you go in with the attitude that you are going to build these relationships with the sole purpose of getting them to be your JV partners then you are 1. Going totally the wrong way about the business and 2. Will alienate alot of people very quickly.

When people talk about building relationships being important to our business, we mean genuine relationships.

The way I see Warrior, is a community where I have met some great people who share the same interests as me, understand the ups and down of our crazy IM world, and do the best to help eachother succeed.

One of the positive side effects is, as well as making some great friends, (and new heroes too), is that in time, when there is an occasion where I have something to offer them that will help both of us out, there is a good chance we may do some business.

The most important thing, is like any relationship in life beit marriage, business partners, teacher and student whatever, it has to be genuine and built on trust. Without that people just become stepping stones.

So in answer to your question, do not approach us for "that purpose", approach us because you want to be our friend/colleague, and if we get to know and trust you, then in time who knows maybe we could do business.

So be yourself, be genuine, and you'll make some real buddies fast!

I would think about what one can give to JV partners first and then work on what you can get.

Don't try too hard, just let it happen. I think it was mentioned above, but you should develop a list based on something useful you have to share. By helping people they will appreciate you and become friends.

I think a profile picture will help a lot. Not that I am the one to talk about that, but the guys that I recognize in this forum is wery often people with clear pictures.

It also help to post often with helpfull and conversational conent. This will also help get the picture printed into our minds.

It's simple really. Let's start by having you fill out this CPA offer for an insurance quote. If you join my email list, I'll show you how you can get a free Ipad/Ipod/Iwhatever.

Also, in a few days you'll learn how to make crazy amounts of cash with no effort, when I sell you this powerful clickbank ebook!

    We'll have a great relationship, you'll see.

So, you want to sell me another way to easily make "X" dollars in "X" days? ROFL too funny! IM success requires hard work and lots of time. Most newbies do not survive the steep learning curve. Anyone who says otherwise is probably selling you a fantasy.

Here's my 10 points to establishing relationships with us Warriors
      • Establish yourself by replying advise to peoples forum question, helping others, share information + Tips etc.
      • Relationships here take time to form
      • If the guy hasn't reply, then try contacting again
      • Don't give up (unless he sends you a PM telling you to F' Off)
      • Don't have too high expectations
      • But Sometimes you will get lucky.
      • Try building up your 'thanks' (others thanking you that is)
      • Don't refer to yourself as 'God', because thats me.
      • Go to Live events, meetings, meetups, conferences
      • Try the JV section of the forum.
Thats 10 for now, and should be enough to get you started!

      Good luck!

      Bad idea.

It pisses me of when friends of mine rock up without calling... let alone a stranger.

      Anyway, to the OP:

      Just make friends.

Be a nice guy, help people out, give a crap. All that stuff.

When you want to do JVs you'll need a list and a following. The bigger the better, but even a few thousand names can do okay.

      Kind regards,

      -Dan

Look to share what you know that could be helpful for other people, or bring some happiness to their day. Ask questions that show that you've thought about the topic and are sincerely open to learn. That's all you need for this forum. Another excellent way to build connections is in person at seminars.

If you provide genuine and helpful advice, then the relationship building will be much easier and enjoyable.

Look at ways you can help others, what kinds of problems can you help others to overcome? Do this with sincerity and you'll create many kinds of wealth.

      Cheers,
      Sissy
