Anyone heard of or used AcquireThisName.com?

Hey guys..

I just agreed a deal with this company for a great domain name that I found...

AcquireThisName.com (this is the company)

Since it's a big amount and I had never heard of them before I wanted to do some investigative work and see if anyone has ever used them?.. and if they are really legit?

I stumbled upon a few negative posts about them but couldn't find much.

Any insight... or experiences with them before?

Cheers,

Adeel

My suggestion if you want to buy a domain that is owned by someone already is to go directly to the source. Why pay a middleman? They will just go directly to the owner so why shouldn't you.
Recently I received an email from one of these companies telling me that a .com domain was expiring and since I had the equivalent .net would I like them to purchase it for me (for a price of course). So I went on over to godaddy and looked up the .com and guess what? it had expired sure enough and was available so I paid $6.95 and saved myself about $100.
Another domain I just purchased was listed as a premium domain for $5,000 but was expiring and going to auction at godaddy. I bid $10 and won.
So do a little research, do a "whois" look up and email the owner directly and ask them how much they want. Then negotiate from there.
If they have privacy enabled on their information then you email the company that handles their account and ask them to forward your email to the domain owner

The thing is.. these guys have registered the domain under a different company name and therefore are the 'owner' and seller (agent). I found all this out from some research.
