Twiter account suspended using Tweetadder

Are you certain that your account has actually been suspended? Can you post your Twitter address so we can check?

Question is, how fast did you add those people to your follow list.

Twitter is already on the case with the tactic of following as many people as you can in the same niche / interest as you, then unfollowing them a few days later if they don't follow you back.

So, ask yourself, what's the "REASONABLE" amount of people you would follow per day that you "GENUINELY" want to follow?

3, 4, 5 per day? or "every other day"??

The more random you make it, the more plausible it will seem to twitter than you're genuinely wanting to follow them

I stopped using Tweetadder about the same time I got addicted to the Warrior Forum, which coincidentally happened shortly after Twitter started getting more aggressive about automatic unfollowing and the like.

I almost restarted my Tweetadder campaign earlier today (I used to follow 200 people a day) - glad I didn't.

Twitadder finished with its task list, seems the suspension ended.

It took me about 6 days to follow 300 people then unfollow 100 of them in 2 days.

What I'm a little concerned about is that I think that I'm recognising people being unfollowed then followed again. I thought that TweetAdder was suposed to prevent that from happening.

I guess someone looked at my account and saw that I was providing good value and having conversations with other people.... but I wonder how people are getting accounts with 10,000 followers and are literally only sending out affiliate links multiple times per hour.

If it has been suspended chances are you have followed and unfollowed the same people, this is what causes your account to get suspended, also copying and pasting tweets is another as its suspicious activity.

In 24 hours ive built up 18 twitter accounts, got 100 followers on each some 200.

Get hummingbird 2, (humming bird 1) comes with it, they know who you have followed and un followed as to stop you re adding them. This really is the best twitter tool imho

Also ratio is important but if you have a new account you can go out there and follow 500 - 1000 even with 0 followers thats what i do once you hit 1000 then ratio comes into play 1.2 x your followers amount

usually becuase your put to much text in and then have to delete but i dont know i know i setup a twitter acocunt when i started follwed about 10 people and then pasted some jokes from google and the account got suspended lol

Twitter is really funny when it comes to their rules they are ever so changing them! As for your twitter account it best to be a little alerts by keep a balance. So you say you were following just 200 followers and you were followed by 100 people that's fine, to be frank I don't think that was the issue. but as past experience I had open an account and started following people about 200 and had 130 followers at same time I also started tweeting and set up a feed. I received a massage saying that my twitter account was suspended. I think it was more to do with that fact that I was having too many activities taking place. But one advice I would give you is just manually unfollow the people who are not following you back and rather than doing this once a week, do it twice a week. Also may be follow up to 200- 250 people.

But what really is the goal behind doing these "auto follows" and "auto un-follows"?

Always wondered about the effectiveness of such "strategies" :-)

Are people who do this expecting any kind of a boost to their brand or business? Seriously?

I would never do this myself, but still curious to know what people who do this are actually expecting to happen.

We had this conversation last year when peoples accounts were getting band all the time.

At the time it was because the tools just were created to sell and gave no respect to Twitters rules (which I posted here in that thread).

I had my own twitter tool built when twitter started and I've never had any accounts run into any problems from using it - because it was designed to be only as effective as it could be within Twitters limits. The tool won't let me follow any more people than Twitters TOS advise.

The tools not the problem per se - it's whether the tool is designed to stop you breaking the TOS, if it is - you need to change tools.

You shouldn't be having to think about how many people can you follow today, or at what rate can you unfollow etc... that's too much detail to have to put on one activity that may or may not even be worth your time.

I recommend you use Twitter in a way that is personal and helps you build new relationships and have the tool as a bonus for use on other accounts you can afford to lose if Twitter doesn't like the way your tool works. Don't spend your time worrying about what you can and can't do on Twitter.

Hi guys

Twitter banned the use of automatically adding people or unfollowing people in bulk and have really clamped down on it.

They have been suspending people around the clock for it so its not unusual to hear that it has happened to you.

Ive never used the automated features apart from socialoomph as i love my twitter account and dont want to mess it up.

You can try appealing it and grovel to them and tell them you wont do it again and that you were unaware of the regs.

the other thing is you may wanna consider appealing to get your account back by launching a support ticket.

we managed to get back our account after a week its been suspended.

Based on my experience with twitter. You can get banned by the following reasons

- when many people blocked you or reported you as spam
- following and unfollowing the same users in short period of time
- sending API requests more than 150 per hour (as of the moment). If your tool is using API to follow users, set the limit to only follow less than 150 per hour.
- you can only send 2000 updates per day (any type of updates)
- Posting same tweets multiple times in short period of time
- Posting same links in short period of time

Try starting out naturally and slowly integrating the TweetAdder setup that you want, make sure you don't just create 5 e-mails and sign up 5 accounts within 5mins etc wait a day between each one. Make sure you have profile pics, be sure to try to respond to @mentions and never DM more than 250 times a day. I have the same 5 license account as you, i tweet a variety of links, jokes, meaningful tweets etc... and all 5 accounts continue to grow at a steady pace.

The whole reason i like TA is i can load up my msg's and it'll followback and tweet forever so long as the msg's aren't all links.

Try some of my advice above, remember take it slow and keep the settings at a minimum to begin with then work your way up.

I am using tweeader for almost 6 months and no problems: I guess you must follow the rules...

What's the point anyway?! All it does is give you loads of inactive followers that don't care about your content. It also makes people's profiles look ridiculous when they are following 5,000 people and have 5,000 followers.

It's like all the clowns who buy subsribers on YouTube or do sub4sub. All that happens is the sub counter goes up, but none of those new "subs" suddenly start watching your videos and when YouTube does an audit, they either remove the dead accounts or ban the account anyway.

How about people work on making good content, providing some value? That will bring in real followers. Oh I forgot, people are too impatient and lazy.

This is a very old thread I see, but I think twitter isn't efficient anyway. It's full of spam.
