Offline Sales Letter Printing And Design

Hi everyone,

I want to launch an offline marketing campaign by mailing out sales letters Dan Kennedy style but I have a question.

I am having trouble figuring out how to format the sales letter and also where and how to get them printed so that It looks professional. Any tips?

Cheers

    Hi Jan,

When I started marketing offline with mass mailing, I debated getting my stuff printed at the local office store. I really wanted my stuff to look professional (marketing to businesses) and my inkjet printer just wasn't cutting it.

I ended up getting a color laser printer at Staples for about $400. It was pricey, but definitely worth it if you will be communicating with businesses often.

On the other side of things, I also sent postcards out. VistaPrint is pretty nice and very reasonable.

Don't you think Offline marketing is very expensive and it is very difficult than online marketing because I am saying if you do my posting sales letter to people doors and convincing them to buy it, it quite difficult and bit hard.

It does not mean that it will not work for you, it didn't worked for me that is why I am sharing my story but carry on if you have planned in proper way. And when get successful please can you share the step by step in WA so we can learn from you.

    Thanks

    Hey Jan,

My advice would be to not make the letters look all that incredibly professional at all. At least not so, that you need to find something more professional than your house inkjet printer. Specially if you are following Dan Kennedy's approach.

Make the letter look like you actually spent the time to write it and print it yourself, at your home, that you actually sealed the envelope with your own tongue. Dont make it look cold, corporate and non-humanly neat.

But either way, to answer, I would go to Kinkos.

Both Kinkos and Vistaprint are good ideas. If you have the resources, try to use lumpy mail as this will definitely get the prospects attention. Adding a small packet of aspirin with the letter will do well too (just check out lumpy mail and you will get some ideas).

Consider your target audience as well. If you're targeting local businesses in your campaign, you might want to deal with a local printer, rather than an online printer like VistaPrint. You might also want to deal with an independent printer rather than a chain, like Kinko's.

If local businesses are your target, that is. The reasoning is that local business owners talk to each other, so getting out there and interacting with them, and using their services, is not a bad idea.

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

Good Point Dan. Using local business for services definitely has its upside and if you get on the good side of a local printer, you might get some good leads. you know why? because other local businesses are going there for their printing needs!
