New - Need Some Traffic Help

Hi,

I'm new here and hoping I can pick up a lot of great tips.

My main question right now is creating traffic to my sites. I've always been a design guy, but I'm looking to get into some niche/affiliate marketing, setting up blogs to sell clickbank products and that sort of thing.

What's a good resource to learn about traffic generation? And more specifically I'm talking about something that gives you a daily plan for creating traffic.

I've read a ton of stuff out there and I know all the different ways to drive traffic like social bookmarking, posting on forums, ppc, article writing, etc...so I'm not looking for just a "general course" on traffic generation that just goes over the different types of traffic.

What I'm really looking for is something more concrete and step by step. Something that would lay out a plan such as:

Every day, here's what you should be doing:

1.) Write an article and submit it to ezinearticles
2.) Make a blog post
3.) Go to sites x, y, and z social bookmarking sites and add your blog post
4.) Go to yahoo answers and answer some questions...
5.) Etc..etc...

Does anyone know of anything like this? Or perhaps a helpful member would be willing to share the exact steps they take each day to create traffic.

Thanks in advance!

No one is going to hand you success on a platter.

People who are successful online get there via one method: trial and error!

If you are waiting for someone to hand you a formula it's not going to happen. People making real money aren't out there writing plans to help other people copy them.

Try things yourself rather than wanting it to be given to you, because that ain't gonna happen.

Thanks Rebecca. I'm not looking to have it handed to me. I'm looking for a place to start. I understand it takes trial and error. I understand what works for one person isn't necessarily what's going to work for someone else. But it would be nice to have a place to start to get a general idea of the types of things I should be doing daily.

I have a blog that should help you out via my sig. But so far looks like you are already in a good starting place with article marketing seems to be where many start out and find success with.

Those 4 steps you listed in your first post are a good place to start. In fact, some people do nothing but those 3 or 4 steps and have great success.
