Default Is your website Yahoo Answers and forum friendly?

I have just come up with a good idea to test your website and if good results get some extra traffic.

Getting traffic from Yahoo Answers and Forum discussions is good, but more often than not we are recommending our own sites or even making seperate accounts for answering our own questions.

Instead, how about just asking the question and see if anyone recommends you.

Ofcourse you need to be one of the first results in google for the most popular searches for that keyword.

So if you rank for a product, ask on Yahoo Answers or in a related forum: Does anyone know where I can find product?

Or "Anyone know where I can find a list of RSS directories" etc.

The test is now: does your website provide the best result for your answer? If not, improve your website based on the sites that was reccomended.

Good idea!

I had someone respond with a link to my site once and it was the best feeling ever.

Love,
Shannon

It is a good feeling. It has happened to me a few times as well. This proves that you have done a good job. This method is for helping them a little.

My test results:

Asked for a place to buy a certain type of bag. Someone recommended I visit an offline sports shop, while an other recommended wallmart ebags amazon and target.

Non have yet to recommend my website, but if they do, that will be my favorite answer

Warning: if your keyword is low competition, you might get outranked. The yahoo answer is on position 6 now, and I am on position 2. Do not use your exact keyword in the headline.

I don't wanna part with my points! j/k

I get alot of traffic from YA.

I also do google alerts & blog alerts for my various keywords and then check all those sites to see what they're doing or to comment on them.

YA ranks so high on Google because of the constant activity. I love it especially being picked by the Asker as the Top Answer.

Cheers,
TLC
