Hi.

Is there any websites that lists how much my site could be worth?

Also how accurate are they likely to be?

Thanks.

Jim.

    Jim,

There are a lot, how accurate they are is questionable.

In my experience Cubestat - Website Value Calculator, Estimations and Information gives the best indication.

However, in reality, a site's value is truly assessed by the potential buyer.

  • There are a few websites on this subject but I doubt the prices are accurate though..
Do a google search: How much is my website worth ?

You will find different providers. Compare the prices and think of an average. This might give you an idea of your website's value..

    Hi Jim,

Start browsing website marketplaces like Flippa. See what similar sites have sold for. But be sure to match them closely according to niche, traffic, revenue, time established, etc. It's one of the best indicators of how much someone might be willing to pay for a particular site.

    Cheers,
    Becky

The value of the site is defined by the market. On Flippa you can get one price on other auction you can get better bid. It depends on potential buyers. And of cause you can make your site better, to sell it for bigger price. Except for Flippa you can try dealasite.com or time2sell.com.

I have to agree to the above posts. It really depends on a potential buyer.

It all depends on a number of factors and not all of that is based on if a site is earning anything. If the site runs using a script which cost $600 then by itself its worth $600 at a bare minimum.

Again it all comes down to what comparable sites are worth as well

    Jim,

It's true. Whether it's a car, house, or website, it's only worth what the next person is willing to pay for it. If you can show proof that your site gets a lot of traffic and makes a lot of money, I'm sure you'll get good bids on it.

    To your success,
    Mike

I would think it all depends on the market and each individual buyer, again not sure if there is any websites that lists how much your site could be worth? Be no harm in searching on goggle.

Why would someone want to purchase your site? (not a sarcastic question)

Does the site make money? If so, generally it is worth 12 months income.

Do you think the site can make money and want to sell it based on the potential to make income? If so, can you show how much money you believe it could make? If so, base it on 6 months of that potential income.

Do you want to sell it for the time and money invested into the site? If so, can you calculated your time and put a price on it, and show the amount already invested?

What it really comes down to... The main reason someone wants to purchase a website is the income it makes or potential income it can make. If it makes money, why sell it? If it doesn't, why is it worth money?
