Hi,

A JV partner who has sold lots of my products as an affiliate
told me he can get another guy to promote my product
but he wants a commission as well.

Basically,
1st guy affiliate
2nd guy affiliate

1st guy affiliate says he will have 2nd guy affiliate promote
my product...in return, 1st guy says he wants a percentage of
the profits on my sales from 2nd guy...

what's a good enough percentage to give to the 1st guy in your
opinion?

    BJ,

    Two things...

See if you can determine what a typical MLM network pays their upstream affiliates for downline affiliate sales.

    Second thing...

Be careful the second affiliate is not likely to cannibalize the first affiliates potential sales thereby keeping your sales static yet increasing your affiliate pay-outs.

I'm not saying they will be in cahoots to play you, although that could be easy if you don't structure it right, but they could be sharing techniques that target the same potential customers.

Perhaps a performanced based commission would maximize your potential.
