Any video sharing sites where I can upload my video and nobody else can watch it or at least nobody can find it without me telling them the URL? I must be able to embed it though.

    I believe megavideo has a 'private video' option, not sure if you can embed it though.

    You can make your videos private on YouTube and other sites -
    but I don't know about embedding.

    If you're so concerned with privacy you should look at self-hosting -
    it's cheap to do and not too hard. You just need a player and
    a hosting account. Bandwidth is so cheap these days the cost
    of self-hosting is really a non-issue if you are dealing with under
    1000 views per month.

    Just a quick thought if you're running a blog: you can embed a vid in a blog entry and set the post to private (there's some option depending on your blog).
    I setup my music blog this way because it's all work-in-progress stuff. I set everything to nofollow (robots.txt), hit all the "don't publish" options I could and then sent the blog link to just my friends.

      The 'nofollow' tag means no page rank will get passed. What you really want to use is the 'noindex' tag if you want to keep the search engines from indexing the page.

      'Nofollow' will still allow the SEs to index the page.

    If you go to my blog, there's a link there for such a product.

    You can get the free version, and chances are you'll never need to upgrade to the paid version.

    It does everything you mention.
