How many pings should I ping?

I am adding pages to my adsense site, and I am wonderng how much and how often I should ping the pages. If I add another page should I ping that page, or should I ping the base URL or both?

    Google and other search engines will found your pages sooner or later. Pinging isn't a necessity nowadays...

    First, create an RSS feed for your site.
    Feedity RSS Feed Generator - Create RSS Feed, Track Website Changes
    Ping that feed every time you make a new post.

    I'm not sure, but I think Wordpress automatically pings each new post.
    If this not so, then someone let us know.

      Wordpress can ping automatically. Go to writing options in your wordpress panel and at the bottom you can find the update services option. There you can write as many pinging services as you want. Every time you post wordpress automatically pings.

      If you are not using wordpress you can ping when you have added new content to your site. If you add many articles or posts the same day, avoid pinging each post. In that case I think the best you could do is pinging when you have finished adding the articles. Once a day is fine if you have new content to ping.
