Commision Jucntion: I am not allowed to outrank the vendor for certain keywords??

I just signed up for cj, I was looking at a store I would like to promote. I have several keyword exact domains that are already ranking very high.

But when I checked out the vendor info, there was this:
Search Campaigns - Non-compete SEM Bidding Keywords:
These are keywords on which publishers are prohibited from outranking the advertiser in their search marketing campaigns
And then there was a list of keywords. Every single one of my domains, was one of their keywords!

For anyone familiar with CJ, does this only pertain to PPC, adwords ect?

I know it says bidding keywords, but still am unsure.

Yes, this only pertains to PPC marketing.

They don't want you to outbid them, or in some cases bid on those specific keywords at all.

They have no control over rankings, and you also don't have enough control over rankings that they can stipulate you cannot outrank them.

They can stipulate that you cannot compete with them in paid search.

Okay thanks. That is what I initially thought, but then I thought I should check before I go adding links to my sites!

      Thanks again

Do any other affiliate have the keywords you want to use in their domains in the organic search? If so then you will probably be fine.

It's always in the fine print...if someone says not to outbid them for keywords, I usually avoid that vendor all together or avoid those words - I have enough other things to deal with instead of that. Then again....if it's a great converter and good payout you better believe I'm bidding on those words and ensuring I'm not ranking above them
