Any Warriors here ever bought a John Chow blog review?

JXtreme didn't you buy one recently?

If any of you have ever bought a John Chow blog review I'd be curious as to get your feedback and what kind of traffic , results, and whether you received an ROI.

I've read mixed reviews and there may be a few of you who have not yet openly posted your reviews.

Nah it wasn't me Frank.. I do remember the post about someone getting a review though...

if truth be told.. Mr Chow should be coming to me for a review.. my blog smacks his... it's just not been around as long as his

When I was still in the outside world :-) Whenever I hear John Chow I get this perception that he is the king of blogs...

When I came here I realized there are other people better.

Imagine there are warriors here only 15 years old. Who's already made a name for themselves.

Though we have to admit john chow's a bit popular.

As for his review, is it really worth it?

I have in the past. You can probably search his blog for "answer sniper". Yes, it paid for itself but I wasn't overly happy with his review. He spent more time tearing into the fact that it was being sold with "long copy" which he found annoying rather than actually reviewing the software which I was surprised about. Then all of the comments posted went onto agree - and the whole point of the review got sidetracked.

One good thing is his blog is syndicated quite a bit and other blog owns will follow suit writing about what he has.

I was also purchasing monthly advertising via his rotating ad for several months there. One thing I can say, once your ad is up and running you won't find him very receptive to email comms which I found surprising, particularly as I was inquiring about better advertising and had more $$$ to spend testing. I no longer advertise with him for that simple reason alone.

Hi, I see from your PM that my name came up. I got better results from much smaller blogs. I think John's blog has devolved so much into pictures of him eating food with random people around the world that there aren't that many marketers actively following it despite the subscriber count.

At over a month later there were only 486 clicks out of a full page review on his 30,000 subscriber blog. That's pitiful. Out of those clicks, only 1% bought the product, just barely making a profit.

I got more clicks and more sales at smaller blogs where the subscribers are actively reading and participating, including JohnCow.com (the parody turned AM blog of its own has only 1/3rd the readers).

It seems you get a lot of exposure at $500 with John Cow's deal. Glad to hear you had better results as I have been considering it.
