Anyone sold a website that has a forum on a MySql database?
I'm thinking about selling a website that I own. The website is hosted on 2 MySql databases on my webhost.
The 1st database hosts the RAP script and all of the files associated with all of the sales, etc.
The 2nd database hosts the forum for the site.
I just got off the phone with 1and1.com and they said I could transfer the domain, but I could not transfer the databases.... so the problem is... how do I sell a website if I can't transfer all of the files in the databases?
I'd basically be selling a fresh website with no historical data... a blank forum and no sales records. This seems silly and lowers the value drastically.
Anyone have any thoughts on how to go about doing this? Would love to hear from someone who has done this in the past.
