How would you categorize events?

I realise the title is a bit confusing... but it's a bit of a random/odd question hehe.

Working on a new project and I want to give categories or labels to the different kinds of events that are held by people - both online and offline.

So far I have:
  • Online Events
    • Information Webinars
    • Teleseminars
  • Live Events
    • Workshops
I know there's heaps more, but my brain just can't think of them. What other categories of events can you guys recommend?

    I've seen local entertainment papers with "Events" sections, and they
    list dozens of different kinds of events. That's something you may want
    to check out.

    But for now...

    You can create sub-categories for online events by topic. Things related
    to IM for example. Teleseminars/webinars on product creation, email
    marketing, seo, keyword research, etc. I just remember those from
    emails I've received for webinars in those areas. Also remember some
    emails for a webinar on how to do webinars.

    Live events:

    Again, I've seen sections in local papers advertising all kinds of live
    events. You can try searching for local newspaper websites. I'll bet
    you'll see some sections devoted to live events and be able to get
    some good ideas.

      Ken Thompson is right. Check out some newspaper and magazines so that you will get loads of idea in categorizing events.

        Hrm, not sure I want to go that in-depth into them. They would be categories selecte from a drop down menu, so I want to keep it as uncluttered as possible.

        And sorry, I should have clarified more (my bad), I know how I want to set them up, I'm more lost on what they're called. ie the different names use - webinar, seminar, etc...
