Creating Backlinks TO the Backlinks. Does this help?

If I create 10 backlinks to mywebsite.com and I create 10 more backlinks, but instead to mywebsite.com, I create them to those pages where there is a link to my website, does that help?

For example: I put a link on Facebook Note to my mywebsite.com and then create a link on Delicious to the Facebook note where there is that link to mywebsite.com and later I create a link on Blogger, linking to the link on Delicious where there is the link to the Facebook note linking to mywebsite.com?

That helps?

Does that have a name?

Yes it will help if those pages are owned by you since you'll be passing link juice.

It makes sense. If your backlink source is pushed up in the rankings, the initial backlink should also get a higher ranking as it is getting its juice from higher ranked source.

I think you generally want to spend time improving the quality of links that you either own, or control.

Good examples are your blog (no matter whom hosts it) a Hubpage, Squidoo lense etc.

I believe it does help, but you have to do it within reason. It's just not practical to try to build backlinks to your sites and then to all the sites you have backlinks from. So, you need to be selective.

For example, if you are building backlinks through blog commenting, it may be worthwhile to help build backlinks to a group of quality blogs that you comment on frequently. Let's say that you comment on a group of blogs that average a PR3. It certainly can't hurt to help build those blogs to a PR4 so that the links coming back to you are worth more in link juice.

But, be selective. Do it with complementary sites and not competitive sites.

It would definitely help and it is being done by those who know the importance of building backlinks.. It doesn't matter whether you own the site that carries your link...You can use the following scenarios to improve the link juice to your site

Website -> Bookmark your site -> Submit RSS feed of bookmarking sites (your accounts) to aggregators
Website -> Submit Articles -> Submit RSS feed of article directories (your accounts) to aggregators
Website -> Submit Articles -> Bookmark your articles -> Submit RSS feeds
Website -> Submit Videos -> Submit RSS feed of video sites (your accounts) to aggregators
Website -> Submit Videos -> Bookmark videos -> Submit RSS feeds

the options are endless really.. You can mix and match stuff to see what works best for you

Sorry but I have to disagree ... It can help increase your rankings and especially when you are dealing with high competition keywords.

No waste at all .. I enjoy my high competition page #1 listings that bring me traffic and sales ...

Nothing wrong with bookmarking content, bookmarks, rss feeds, profiles, bookmarking profiles, and etc. all at the same time.

I have a good many that follow my interlinking exchange method and see some great results ...

Yes it does help .. You can bookmark your bookmarks (or in this case create a backlink to a backlink). Many ping and bookmark their blog comments to help get them noticed faster.

You can also bookmark your rss feeds which also helps, remember rss feeds are backlinks also. Bookmarking them helps create additional backlinks and possible more subscribers to your feeds.

You can also bookmark your bookmark profiles, for the same reason as above...

A lot of this is known as Interlinking Exchange ( Yes that is my made up term).

I have never used linkwheels so not familiar with their results.. Perhaps someone can enlighten us and share their results... I have read though that the site receives an initial surge in rankings after linkwheel is publishes and then drops down quickly.. can someone confirm?

A great idea is to pick between 10 and 50 places outside your blog, that you promote like it was a business as its own. This depends on the number of sites you can handle with the time you have available.

You can make a group of squidoo lenses and market these with backlinks from other places. You can promote your ezinearticles rss and give a few bookmarks to each of your articles.

The goal of this will be three folded. First you get strong backlinks, since you are building pr to your externaly hosted pages. Second you will be building your profile in the communities (there are many doing this here in the warrior forum), and third, you drive traffic from the communities.

If you look at the youtube channel of Ray William Johnson you will se that he is active on several other communities.

He has a PR 5 site on dailybooth, PR 6 on Twitter, PR 3 on myspace, and a PR 3 on districtlines.com where he sells his t-shirts.

He is not afraid of promoting his other sites on his youtube chanel or in his videos. He knows that if he can get a community builded in a lot of different places, he can attract new people there and lead them back to his videos. He also runs several other youtube channels all promoting eachother.

I did some bookmarks the other day. Then I set up 50 web 2.0 accounts and linked them back to the bookmarks. Then I set up 1000 Twitter accounts and tweeted the 50 2.0's. Then I auto-blogged about each of the 1000 Twitter accounts.

Then I put the gun barrel in my mouth.

Hey Zeuss, I bought your WSO on article marketing. Really good stuff. I implemented some of your tactics and it works a treat. One question: How do you set up 1000 Twitter accounts? Or are you just kidding?

Hey, thanks for the purchase. My next WSO will about how to set up 1000 Twitter accounts and backlink them all. Oh, and there'll be a bonus ebook about where to point the barrel once it's inside your mouth. Diagrams included. Newbie friendly.

I don't use software ... I use my own system .. I do not waste my money on lame software.

And yes I do many backlinks and bookmarks manually .. Just submitted 41 rss feeds to feedage all manually by actually going to the site and creating an account and doing it manually. Took a simple hour, no big deal..

I would imagine that the bookmarking sites might start to get a little pissed off when they start finding bookmarks of bookmarks. I would imagine that they would only want to link out to good content...not other bookmarking sites or bookmarks on their own site.

Just a thought - I could be wrong.

Yes, it does help. Promoting the promoters is a great way to squeeze backlink juice into a new site...if you believe in the sandbox. You may not want tens of thousands of inlinks to a brand new site, which is why you create some unique content properties(goarticle, squidoo, hubpages, blogger) and then backlink them( of course those properties have an incontent backlink to your actual website page your targetting). You basically have to manufacture your own authority if nobody(real people with blogs and stuff) wants to link to you. By promoting the sites that give you a backlink, you will be creating an authoritative backlink. Let's be honest, for the average clickbank marketer, do you really think people are going to link to your review website?

So yes, build links to the authority content pages that contain your backlink. It's all about passing the link juice. A backlink on a brand new page with no inlinks is kind of a dead backlink. Not completely useless at all, but it's power can be increased tremendously.
