Hello everybody, besides:

1. Scribd
2. DocStoc

...what eBook/PDF-file directories are *worth* submitting to (for backlinks/traffic)?

THANKS for any future responses...!

Oh...wow, I hit gold! I was searching Google for pdf directories not knowing for sure if I was on the right track, and landed here. Excellent link from Dave and quite some list from Kim. Thanks both of you.

Not technically a directory, but uploading them on limewire or bit torrent can get some decent results if you have affiliate links.

If you're spending the time to write the ebook, why not try and put it up on sites that can sell the ebooks for you? I mean even if you're using it as a promotional tool you could sell it for really cheap and still make some money in the process..

Hey Mike, well, I'm not trying to "write e-books" in the way that people commonly think of...I'm doing this for the *backlinks* to my sites, even though I won't be trying to outright "sell" anything in the e-book itself (to keep from having my accounts deleted)...

I'm just basically converting my articles into .pdf form, and then people can read the PDF-files and go to my site from there...

You see what I mean, bro'?

Do not put affiliate links or other promotional links such as your website links on pdfs in scribd.com, you are likely to get banned. It happened to me and countless other persons not long ago (2009)

You're *right* Giggle, and that's why I won't upload anything that sounds "too promotional" when I turn my articles into pdf-files...

      scribd.com are a touchy bunch.

For my money, having PDF's that don't have promotional links to your site/ product in them is a waste.

Thankfully there are many better options around that scribd.com
