CB Charges us a Fee when a customer ask for a refund?

Hello Guys,

Clickbank Charges us a Fee when a customer ask for a refund?

If so, how much is that fee?

I noticed recently that a customer who bought through my aff link asked for a refund, Clickbank debited from my account an amount superior to the value of my commission.

Please help me with this, because I don't understand it.

Thanks!

Why don't you read CB policies? They are on CB website. If you are an affiliate your commition gets revoked. If you are a publisher, same goes for the publisher. When there is a chargeback, the publisher gets a penalty in addition to the revoked sale. The amount of penalty is $15 and up to $100 (I think) if chargebacks are over 1% in the 90-day period. Read CB poilicies; I may be wrong

I think they do but I don't want to give you false advice. Best thing you can do is read their policy page or better yet shoot them an email.

I feel sure you are not looking at the correct information/entry

That money is debited from the account of the vendor though, not the affiliate, so the OP should have not noticed any problems since he says he was an affiliate. As far as I know, affiliates are never charged for the debited amount.

Is the buyer in the same country as you? Did the exchange rate move between the time of purchase and refund? If so, that will change the amount of the transaction.

      ClickBank say

"Returns and revokes utilize the same exchange rate that was associated with the original purchase."

When I've asked for a refund for a CB product, I have received less back than what I paid because the exchange rate changed between the two transactions.

Does CB use a different method in alternate situations?

It was awhile back, so I could be thinking of a PayPal transaction. In either case, it doesn't seem fair to lose on exchange.
