Affiliate Marketing Newbie Questions

Hi,

I have started affiliate marketing with clickbank this month before few days back.

I want to see big number of $$$$ though it takes hard work.

I have heard that a lot of people make thousands of dollars and i too want to earn the same like the others.

I am in to " Acne " niche now.

I am totally new to affiliate marketing and don't know how to promote my site.

I have posted 3 articles with 300 words each in my site. Placed 3 image pictures with added affiliate links at the right side of the blog. Also i have added affiliate links in the articles.

Didn't made any promotion yet as i am just ready with the site.

I have heard that article marketing works good for affiliate marketing. Is it right?

Shall i start with that? If yes, how many articles per day or per month would be better as a start?

I am not a writer personally so i should outsource the articles.

How much investment do i need per month? and how much investment would be good as a start?

I usually earns or earned less than $600/month in my one year, two months career.

Please suggest me the right way to start and become successful in it.

Thank you.

    Hello and welcome.

I would start off any campaign you start by posting articles.
Setting up a word press blog at wordpress.com, no need to start one on your own server there. And just keep on asking questions.
There are so many helpful marketer's here at the warrior forum.
The more places you can post the better.
Juts start off slow and work your way up but
I suggest you track everything you do.
There are many services that will help you with this.
Knowing where your advertising is working is half the battle.

I hope this little bit of info helps.

    To your success,

I would suggest starting in 3 different niches, not just one. 3 is the number I started with, because it allows you to setup multiple income streams without spreading yourself too thin.

A great way to build cheap landing pages is using blogger. I have many blogspot blogs that still bring me recurring income on a consistent basis, and I have not touched them in months.

If you are going to get serious about affiliate marketing, you need to write at least 5 articles per day. I would eventually suggest that you start writing less and creating high quality backlinks with your articles, but in the beginning you need to get a ton of content out there to show that you are an expert in your chosen niches.

The articles you write do not have to be award winning, in fact too long an article is just as bad as too short. My suggestion is to write articles that are around 400 words in length. I have found that is a good number to intrigue readers without being long winded.

Make sure that you install Google Analytics or some other tracking software. You want to make sure that you track your traffic and monitor your results. You want to be able to track your traffic sources, as well as see what terms people are using to search for your product or service.

All of this information will help you move forward in your affiliate marketing campaigns. I cannot stress enough that you need to write articles until you make a sale. Some will say this is stupid, but article marketing works. Once you make your first sale you will be hooked for life!

A lot of information on how to do AM in detail. Not only sticking to one niche, starting with 3 niche looks very important. Thanks a lot.

One of the most important point that i am realized again is being consistent till we see the results. I feel that everybody will become successful, if they are consistent till they see the results.

I feel that this is a very important suggestion to me as we need to test a niche before we dive in to it but i think, we should be consistent at advertising or marketing so that we will become successful at any niche.

Below are some traffic methods. Some requires skills while other are paid.

SEO - Optimize your site for the free listing of the search engines

Article marketing - It's free, you have to be a good writer and aim to post about 3 articles daily and include your link at the resource box area.

Blogging - Similar to article marketing its free too but this time you can write whatever you like in just your own way. Submit a blog post every day and include your inlink in the post.

Pay Per Click - Requires skills and is quite expensive but you get highly targeted traffic.

List building - This is in form of newsletter, you create something on your page so that visitors can leave their names and email in exchange for your information.

There are many more ezine ads, traffic exchange and so on.

    Good luck.

So i should post 3 articles a day to the top articles directories. PPC is very expensive so i can't afford and i don't have experience in it too. List building seems to be the one which i should add to my blog.

One more Question: Where should i place the affiliate links in the blog and how?

Looking for more suggestions from you friends.

You might want to check-out the guys who run Web Traffic Flow. I found them here on on WF a couple of weeks ago and the numbers are in sync with their claims.

    I did a review on
Web Traffic Flow how I'm using their tool to generate traffic to my site. Levi was good enough to let me use his video in my review. For those of us who aren't all that savvy with writing html code and php and the other techie stuff, this routine is pretty straight forward.

As one of the information source you can use abestweb.com. Add your articles to ezine where you'll get opportunity to spread you article as rewriting product with your link around Internet. Place your articles on as many sites as you can find. Backlinks in your article will follow users to your site and affiliate product.

your success will come from your list, buy in some master private label right products that you can rebrand and give away for free, then set up a squeeze page which will build your list up offering the free products in exchange for their name, then when there's a decent product out you can go back to your list and promote it. This isn't the esiest thing in the world to set up if your just getting started. But research list building tactics and with that list the money will come

Threads asking how to do Article Marketing come up quite often here - so I have a standard reply - I hope this helps:

Two brilliant threads to read about article marketing are these:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...marketing.html

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...eza-first.html

Read them both - all the way through - and take notes.

For further information I recommend the following directory - It is education in article marketing - a guide book and monthly newsletters - with a directory thrown in! You can read what Warriors think about it here: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...alks-walk.html

Article Directory - Article Marketing Community

I can also recommend the WSO's from this guy:

This guy also has some good stuff - some article marketing some on other things

    Hope this helps.

Alexa is absolutely right. Don't setup blog at WordPress, but do start a wordpress blog on your own domain.

Start somewhere else is fine, but then you end up wanting your own real estate and have to move.

Why not start the right way the first time?

.info domain is $1.07, hosting can be a few bucks a month or 9.95 for UNLIMITED domains.

    Plan for success, not failure.

Buy the .com domains. I have bought some .info domains in the past, and I can tell you that they do not rank nearly as well. Good to see that you already have a .com domain and are ready to get down to business.

    Just get started:
    1. keyword research
    2. write articles
    3. backlink articles
    4. promote articles via social media (Twitter, Facebook, etc.)
    5. link all the articles to your website in anchor text for a keyword you are trying to rank for.

Just start with these five things and you will see success.

Very first thing - find out if there's a market of hungry willing buyers for your product!

If there's no market - forget it!

Do your own research and dont go by the 'latest hot thing' everyone is talking about...chances are by the time you've heard about it...the markets awash with competitors...which is fine, if you know how to outmarket them!

Here's how to check the market:

Go to Google keyword tool and search main keywords...anything less than at least 1000 searches/mth forget it...most likely you will struggle to find buyers.

If your product does have a strong market you'll find that theres crazy competition for the main keywords...thats ok...you can use a keyword tool and search for 'long tail keyword phrases' that have >1000 searches/month and <40,000 competing pages.

Why?...Cos thats where you will find nuggets of gold...and you can concentrate on these terms and dominate them cos there is much less competition.

Of course thats just the start...but its the best way to start

    In summary...

Find a hungry market...and learn how to drive targeted traffic to it through keyword domination...then you'll see the cash flow...
