PDFs and Smartphones, Palms etc

Just wondering if people used things such as Smartphones etc (anything mobile really) to look at their pdf files.

Do they look the same as on the PC? Do they need converting?

I ask as I have an old Palm which needs to convert a pdf and needing a tagged pdf to do it.

I'm also interested to know as I have produced tagged pdf in the past for people using screen readers

I have an iPhone and I read PDF books on it all the time. There's a very handy app: GoodReader that takes care of everything you'd need while reading.
I'm over 2,000 pages that I read on the iPhone. Several books and such.

It doesn't have any problems with images, and generally the PDF looks the same on every newer smarthpone nowadays even the images are displayed correctly etc.

If they're younger than 3 years they should have no problem reading pdfs. Don't worry.

I was rather hoping you'd say otherwise as I could offer correct tagging as part of a service.

Still good to know that if there older than 3 years old they may need tagging if somebody wants to read one on a smartphone etc

I've been working in mobile internet since 2004, and I think that just about every handset over the last 3 years should be capable of doing it.

I can absolutely agree that you will get somewhat varied results though.

Windows Mobile is perfectly capable, Read pdf's on mine occasionally when I'm on the go. When I was running android on my old phone I used an ebook reader all the time. I found that I'll read a lot more if it is on my phone than I will a physical book. Strange.
