Hello, I just made a video using my Keynotes program on my Mac. I recorded the video through Keynotes, watched it and everything looked great. I then export to either YouTube or onto my computer and there is a serious lag in it. Does anyone no why? Thanks for the help! |

Hi Fred. Here's a checklist... 1. Make sure you're exporting the presentation as a Quicktime movie, and not using the "Record Slideshow" feature. 2. Make sure that "Fixed Timing" is selected. Quite basic, but there is that possibility that the lag is caused by the build in/build out sequence set on "at click." 3. When exporting, make sure that "Full Quality, Large" is selected to give your .mov file the most number of frames per second possible. When all else fails, try to import the Keynote mov file into iMovie, and export it as an m4v or as a mov from there. There will be a slight degradation of quality, but the FPS will be better. Hope this helped. |

am not a mac user but maybe rendering the video in a different format will speed things up a bit. Because keynote doesn't need a screen capture facility like power point does, it should be easy to convert ta mate I hope in some way this will help -J- |

Thank you very much for this input. Let me tell you a little bit more how I made my video and perhaps you will be able to give me more reasons why this is happening and what I can do differently. At this point my slide will not work unless I use "the record" feature so this is why I am telling you more. 1) I placed all of my pictures and setup my slides into keynote. 2) I then went into Garage Band and recorded my voice for each slide and entered that audio into each slide. 3) I then timed each slide so that it Automatically changed to the next slide on its own. 4) When I try to Export it like this, it does work still so I tried the record feature and it works, but its lags BIG time in each slide transition. If I am not going to us the record feature, what do I use? All your other advice I am doing already. Thanks so much for your help! | |
