I know that the title/headline caught your attention. I think that why it caught your attention is because you have been looking for a better way to overcome competition in your chosen niche.

Many of us whine about competition but I think we are the people that gave birth to the competition. Then, why complain about what both of us caused?

How did we cause it? Are you not the one that told me that I can make 6-figures in 1 month if I follow your strategies? Then, I joined your niche thereby increasing the competition and now you are complaining about competition.

Are you not the one that taught me how to do keyword research and search engine optimization in order to increase my page rank? Then, I did that and now, I rank number 1 on Google for that particular keyword...then you started complaining that competition is becoming too much.

The truth is that competition will stop once we stop buying and selling products. It will stop when we stop offering and asking for services. It will stop when we stop being in business.

So, there is no sure-fire way to overcome competition for as long as we continue to buy and sell anything.

Please lets stop complaining about competition because it will yet increase and increase until we become sick and tired of complaining.

I think competition is the joy of the business.

Again, there is no sure-fire way to overcome competition for as long as YOU and I continue to sell and buy stuffs.

Or do you have something to say or add?

The only thing you get when you go head-to-head with the competition is a headache. You have to differentiate and carve out a road slightly to either side of a giant sitting in the middle of it all.

There will always be competition. How you deal with it is what makes the difference.

I don't agree. Use of the word "overcome" is correct in this case. You can overcome it or let it overwhelm you... whichever you choose.

If a niche had no competition I doubt I'd waste any of my time doing it. What people forget about competition is 95% of them are just another you. Unless you're competing for things like weight loss on the internet then competition isn't as hard as much as it just looks scary. Even in tight competition there's still plenty of room left for the long tail.

The only thing you should overcome with competition is your fear of it.

I think that even the existence of competition drives our business to perfection

Why so many negative replies. This is a very valuable post to anybody who cares to think about it's real importance. Anyone who clicked the title expecting to see a push button answer to print money is already way behind King in their understanding of business. Keep up the attitude King, you're already way ahead of most of your competitors.

OUCH!...more fodder for my post tonight...the man is entitled to his opinion and its a vaild one ....this forum complains too much! and is extremely critical...didn't I just see a thread that just spoke of just that thing,hmmmmmm...I'd much rather see all that energy being put into helping someone, just my humble opinion.

And good on him to think of a catchy title to get noticed

He's already helped you whether you or even he realises that. Business is business whether it's online or offline, it all requires a certain attitude. King has got the right attitude. Anyone who can't see that is most likely a ticking time bomb. That attitude will keep him in business for many years.

I am totally on King's side ( valid opinion, seeeeee)...its what followed that was the reason for the ouch.....not a slam of King at all.

I own several businesses offline in various industries...I know a good attitude when I see one...and gosh you can't not love a smile like that and a thread with lots of smiley faces

Still I plan on getting something off my chest latter...stay tuned

I think that tells us that there isn't free money anyway (online or offline). Whether you like it or not somebody has tried it or still doing it.

Very seldom do I worry about my competition. I have launched some of my affiliate marketing campaigns in very competitive niches, because I know that is where money is to be made.

If you want to excel in a competitive niche, then you really need to figure out what you can do that others are not doing, or will not do. There are tons of different ways to advertise your business, and I typically use a mixture of quite a few things in order to make sure that I am getting the most from my marketing efforts.

Competition is a good thing, so why complain about it? Just my two cents.

He actually has a point... If there is no competition, then before you, there is no market and we all know it is very very hard to start up a brand new market. Atleast with an established niche and competition, you already know there is money being spent in it.

Competition is a negative aspect while creation is a positive one! lol No need to compete with creation.
Competition is for copy cats. Just keep creating and you will need no competition. You stand out from the crowd.
That's one way to overcome competition. Imagine if everyone was unique?
