What is that one Secret You are Hiding?

Let's face it, in all our desire to help out other members here, I'm quite confident that many have that one secret that we won't or can't tell...

It would be crazy not to think there is always a continual struggle between helping the community excel (and earn) and keeping those secrets safeguarded as close to your chest as possible....afterall, giving up that ONE secret could mean that you in some ways compromise your own avenues of earning....

Who knows....this may or may not be YOU....and, if it is, I don't believe there is shame in it....I mean, we all have to earn and provide for our families, right?

So.......without actually sharing your SECRETS, however large or small, do you have any that you have to constantly keep in check in order to not share TOO MUCH with the community?....

....and, another question....in your courses/products do you believe that is important to lay everything out on the table...110% transparent....with no secrets at all?....(some may adhere to that, while others may not, I'm sure)

Basic principle of steganography, the best way to keep a secret is to ensure that no one believes that any secret actually exists. What secret?

The way I see it, there's nothing new under the sun. If you've figured out how to do something, chances are someone not only figured it out before you did, but they're better at it than you.

That doesn't mean that your knowledge isn't as good as their knowledge, because you essentially have something to teach. You also might put a different spin on it that works great for you, but doesn't work as great for him. Everyone's different, with different strengths and weaknesses, and always looking for fresh spins on topics they're interested in.

there are some things I don't discuss in public forums, and I'm sure their are many other warriors who do the same. Certain ad buys that constantly do well in campaigns especially since I have spots at locked in prices and don't want competition to force higher bids.

I've written three books, but in a product that an individual is going to pay for I put EVERYTHING into it. However, I never wrote a MMO book, only sub niches of MMO like site flipping.

My secret is that I knew the exact article my ClickBank sales were coming from. So I knew which articles & directories worked and which did not. That lets me do more of what works and less of what does not.

I just "released" my secret yesterday...

If I were to write a book then it would have to include everything. My conscience would not let me say 'These are my results and you can emulate them too' if I knew I was holding something back. Since I'm not writing a book, I'm happy to keep my secrets to myself. Although I'm OK now with revealing that it was me who unwrapped Nick O'Neil's chewing gum and dusted it with hot pepper before carefully wrapping it back up again during maths class in 1980...

I was just contemplating this. There are many things I've learned in the war room that I'd never share in posts here. Likewise, I don't think I could ever buy something and then turn around and tell someone all the secrets I just learned from that source...isn't that pretty much cheating the person who shared the info with you?

          I kinda disagree with that.

By offering a great product at a price that's hard to refuse, you're bringing more people into your sales funnel, who might otherwise not have bothered before.

Can you show where you're getting your "99% are n00bs and don't make jack" data from?

I think the smart marketers offer a WSO because it helps to make their business even bigger.

My 2 cents worth: I heard an interview once with Madhur Jaffrey ( hope I spelled her name right, she writes loads of cookery books). The interviewer asked her where she got all the recipes from. She said she asked people. If though there were say 10 ingredients, she would have to ask 10 different people as each person would always leave one out. It's the way of things seemingly...

Careful soldier, he didn't say how he operates. Last time I checked Jiu-Jitsu wasn't very affective against sniper fire, hand grenades, or deadly body odor.

Wow, mighty impressive how you contacted 176,042 members of this forum to be able to know what percent are newbies that don't make money. Of course, you didn't contact me so your data could be slightly off.

As for my secret, I'm not a real person. I'm a software program created by Alpha Wolf Labs designed to infiltrate IM conversations and gather intelligence. So far, none found.

If your polls are correct ... take it from a one percenter .

The secret to online marketing is the relationship. 99% no longer desire a relationship with you .

Oh yeah ... at least one of the one percenters thinks you are a joke

I have already contacted 10 people from this forum to help with my upcoming "Stress Relief" project and they have all agreed.... Just kidding, I really don't have a secret myself.

"Sending a refund request 5 minutes after I download"

Disclaimer: I am not that shaddy.

My real secret is this: Rewarding myself.. no matter what it is, if I want it, I deserve it. Treat yourself, be good to yourself and the people around you (including family, friends, customers and the people you JV with). Karma's real.

If I offer a money back promise on the sales page, then yep I grant the refund no questions asked.

If I don't offer a money back promise then I look at it case by case.

And my Karma 'secret' still applies.

All of these secrets and holding back come from a fear of competition.

The sad part of this is that competition is a good thing. It shows you where the money is. It tells you what is working and what isn't.

And if you understand your market and know what your USP is then you would not have as much competition as it appears on the surface.

You would operate more from a place of confidence and security rather than hiding your talents like a miser.

It's like standing on the shore out of fear of drowning when you could be jumping in and learning how to swim.

Most people do hide some of their marketing tactics but I think it is wrong to do that. No one created any single tactic and no one should hide anything.

I can remember when I was making so much money in the reverse phone lookup niche, I shared it with my students, with some warriors but when the market got bad, I moved out, sold my sites and now using the money on the "tough" forex marketing ( not trading it .
