Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone here uses ning.com I have some questions about the css and if you guys know any tricks on how to make the ning sites look better let me know please.

Please post here or private message me if you do.

Also what do you think of my site Gamer-book any suggestions let me know.

Ok i thought of an idea but im not sure if its legal exactly

Lets say i held a tournament on the website and had 128 people participate which wouldnt be hard to do. Lets say i told them the prize would be based on how many times they clicked ads so if each person clicked one ad a day a day for 1 week lets estimate each ad paid .1 cents then 128 x.1 x7 = almost 90 dollars is it illegal to tell them to do this?

And if it is illegal and i did this would i actually get in trouble or would google just ban my account?

The only problem im having is making money off the site its getting 250 views a day just only .50 cents a day from adsense i thought it would do better.

any suggestions

Site looks great. The only thing is that I can't tell what you are selling if anything? Do you have adsense or any ad networks embeded in the site? Can't really tell if the right side column is ads or if they other parts of the site (which is good if they are ads)

The site looks really good. If possible you should try the large rectangle adsense unit right above the content in the middle of the page.

The website is nice, but I would work on getting more quality content and making sure your traffic is targetted. Otherwise, the placement you have seems fine.

I don't know anything about ning, Eric... but it looks like it'd be a great application for a membership site. Have you thought about that?

I have thought of that but theres to many sites like it so they would just go to a free website like it and get the same information.

But Though you guys dont know a lot about what im doing its a video game site and im trying to hold video game tournaments so that should get more ad sense clicks.

I didn't start it for me tho.
Myself, I am a gamer and your site looks cool, but I'm with everyone else, I'm not sure what yout site is all about.

I see your trying to do tournements, do you go to gaming forums and post?

Instead of focusing on getting revenue why not try to get more people?? When you have a few thousand members you can start to use your own products or partner with someone which have something GOOD quality to offer for your market.

You are absolutely correct.I was remiss, I just skimmed the orginal post,,,something I dont usually do. I saw the OP say he /she started a NIng, and it was gmae related...so I went there and then posted. I did not fully read his post. I usually read every post in a thread before I answer. My Bad.

Danielle- I actually chose the name but there was nothing "naughty" intended. If you visited the site you would see why the name...but for the sake of everyone reading...being from the south, when the little ole ladies yell "BINGO" it sounds like "BANGO!" lol
