Hello, Let's say you have cold traffic from Adwords or article marketing. You warm them up enough to get them to join your list. What % of these people do you actually get to buy the product you're promoting? I hear people say they get 5-%10 of the people to buy the product but to me that is amazing. Now if you had a reputation at the warrior forum and people signed up to your list I could see that happening. However just by promoting a 10-day ecourse to random people who came to your site seems like it's a tough deal to convert these people. Even they are interest in your niche. I once even asked Jimmy D. Brown this same question and he told me that 10% of the people actually buy from him. However, he has the name and they most likely didn't come to him through Google Adwords or FaceBook ads. So to those of you in niches outside of IM what are your real conversion rates for every 100 people that join your list? Me personally, in the fitness niche- (People joined from article marketing or adwords) 1. I converted 4% of my list to a $7 report (Great but not a lot of money) 2. I convert under 1% of my list to a product around $50 that I promote as an affiliate. (Not near enough to pay for the adwords traffic) The Product is TruthAboutAbs which we all know about Maybe my list wants to buy a product that has my name on it instead of someone elses. However these people aren't aware of the affiliate thing either. I just tell them I like TruthAboutAbs and why I think it would help them. Maybe I am just going about it the wrong way. Maybe I need to be like Steven Wagenheim or Jeremy K. and create lots of awesome products to promote to my list. Then over time I'll see more of a return but right now I am more depressed and would like something to go off of. Lost and Confused! Or maybe i just need a Ryan Deiss product on how to convert my list into buyers |

I am no list expert by any means, but your income and conversion rate is directly related to how you treat your subscribers. Give them awesome free stuff every once in awhile, informative articles, videos, etc. over time and you will build up a reputation as someone who can be trusted because of all the good sh*t you give out. Then weave in some affiliate offers and you should start to see some better conversion rates. Regards, Daniel |

Let me try to give some tips here - am not a pro but I hope you find these useful: 1. First of all, the diet and weight loss niche is a tough niche. (Not to scare you). However, because it is a known fact that there are lots of useless product in this niche, people need to know that what they are about to spend their money on will work. SO let's say I want to lose 10 pounds. I go online and I found your article/ ads or whatever. I want to get as much FREE information first to see if you qualify or if you are just as the other marketer out there. (Why should I buy your product if all you can tell me is that it allowed you to lose 10 pounds yourself?) Get what I am saying? You need to be knowledgeable in the area and try to help people first. Don't just try to make them buy something. YOU SHOULD ACTUALLY CARE AND WANT TO HELP THEM. Give them daily tips. * Meals that will help them to lose weight * Educate them about unhealthy foods etc * Give them specific exercises that they can do * Write a more detailed ebook with tips, diets etc and then offer as a bonus to entice them to but the main product. * Chat the them as if they were your family members. (let them want to get an email from you everyday. etc Those are just some of the things I came up with. Hope That Helps ..... Casey |
