INTERNET MARKETING

Can you believe it!! 5 years ago I did this for fun for non-competitive keywords.

But this site is still under contruction and has only really been up for 4 days . No optimisation strategies have been employed but I think the key is that this word poress site has been well designed and a few but well selected plugins have been employed.

This is so great because , I was thinking of putting this project on the back burner as SEO , I was told by some would take years and PPC prohibitive given the competitive nature of market.

A fluke yes but I will try to use this same formula for other projects for content sites.

Congratulations on that achievement. However Google is well known for boosting the ranking of new websites in their first week or so. If I were you I would be little bit more patient before being so happy.

Get ready for the rebound!

Sometimes (I find this a LOT with my offline clients), the sites will rank (inexplicably) high, before going down a few (hundred) pages!

  You might want to check that ranking through a proxy like PageWash or HideMyAss because Google will serve up websites that it knows you like (read own).
  
  I've had this happen to me and thought "Holy Cow! I can't believe I rank for that keyphrase!", only to find out Google was "doing me a favor".

i will try to get some articles up there super quick and do all the SEO stuff , thanks for the cautionary note.

What you're seeing is the "new site bounce". After a while your site will rank where it belongs for the keywords that you're trying to rank for. For now put up *anything monetizable* and enjoy the traffic while it lasts.

You can help google decide to rank your site higher by doing active backlinking. But it will look more natural to google if you do that only after your site has plenty of valuable content; noone (but you! ) would link to an empty site, so its easy for google to discount.

Dude,

Instead of checking its rankings, you NEED to get some top quality content on that site RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!

And I don't mean to throw some articles on it. I mean TOP QUALITY CONTENT.

This is your one chance for a Google freebie and if you wait around and bask instead of getting dirty writing original, quality, compelling content, then you are going to lose it.
