I can't find the right topic for my future blog

Hello from Estonia!

I have a huge problem (Yes, i know there are people, who have much, much bigger problems): i want to build a blog (for fun and, of course, for profit), but i don't know what to right about.

The theory says: "Write about what you are passionate about and choose a targeted niche". The sad thing is, right now, i don't have any passion. I have a bit dull life, as you can see.

I do have a hobby, actually: it is called debating, pick up and social psychology, but it is rather hard for me to find interesting material, that i could write every week about. I want to write about my own experiences, but the problem is that, although i live in Estonia, my estonian isn't that good to communicate with native speakers (my estonian is actually good, but it is still hard to transmit all of my thoughts to people). That's why it is hard to write about communicating with people.

I was thinking, maybe you guys could help me out?

Best regards,
Andrii

    Hi

after your hobbies you can always look through your jobs that you have had or what you want to do and wish you could.

For example if you like travel do a travel blog

or if you want to talk about you a relationship/dating one as these are always really good.

With me i moved to portugal from the uk a couple of years ago so i've done an expat one.

    kind regards

      Thank you for the answer!

The problem is that, as i said, my life is dull, therefore i haven't done much traveling.

And writing about a job... well, i never had fun working, so i'm afraid my blog will die off very soon.

Thanks for the great tip. But how can i turn this great idea into something that the readers would like?

This would be great, although it is rather hard to keep on going with it.

This is a real advantage. It means you can afford to choose a subject which has a real, passionate market, and avoid the mistakes of everyone else who writes about their own passion and tries to make a market out of it when there might not really be one there.

Are there marketable niches in there other than the obvious, highly competitive ones? I suspect there might be ...
Oh, some people from Latvia here.

So, what you are saying is: write about something that hasn't much to do with your passion, but choose a proven niche?

I think so, if you're planning to derive income from it. I'm not suggesting you should choose something fiercely competitive just because it's a big market, but I do think a lot of people fail because they assume that if they "follow their own passion" the money will necessarily materialise, and this definitely isn't right!
Tell me about it) Estonian language is impossible to learn unless you watch estonian TV. For every grammatical rule, there are 1000 exceptions. No, i'm not in the capital.

But won't there be danger that my blog will die off, because i will be bored writing about something i don't care?

Andrii, I have one million dollars for you. But before I give it to you, I want to know exactly what you are going to do with it. Where do you want to travel to? What kind of things do you want to try? Who do you want to meet? What kind of food do you want to try? What are you going to buy? What kind of car do you want to buy?

When you get finished answering all those questions, I will keep the million dollars, but your should have a nice list of ideas which you could create a blog from. You will have fun researching the topic, and writing about it. Imagine yourself actually getting ready to do those things.

One of those ideas might even be the one which you find a good audience, who want to know more, and can become customers.

You just need to stretch your mind a little more. There are million dollar ideas all around you.
