Advice on creating and marketing an ebook / clickbank product

I've had a good search about here on the forum but can't find exactly what I'm after.
A google search reveals tons of people claiming to show how to do it (of course!).
I've got a great idea, and tons of material for an ebook and/or video package for a niche I think will go well (obviously!)
Just wondering if any of you could either offer some advice, point me in the direction of a thread I may have missed, or recommend a good source of info on the whole process from creating the product to making the site, landing/sales pages, marketing strategy, pricing etc.
Also wondering about the whole clickbank vs amazon thing.
And also where I stand with PPC on Google, if the product is mine.
Sorry if this is an oldie - please just point me in the direction of where to go if that's the case.

    Ok quick bump....

Is this a really bad/dumb/basic, or even difficult question?

    Apologies if it is.

Even if someone can just post a link to something that would be great. In the meantime, I'm working through all the google results (!)

Just looking for a warrior's opinion or choice of system - hate flying like a blind newbie!!

I tried tradebit, payloadz and a couple others. I ended up going the paypal route because there are no minimums to get paid out, no other fees other than paypal and it is easy to do. I don't really think my niche has affiliate potential so I was not too concerned about that and quite frankly did not want to build all of the stuff that goes with CB. Obviously if you get people marketing your product it can be huge.

Maybe when you have done all of this a couple of times, you can speed it up, but it sure took a long time for me. Feel free to send me a PM and I can give you all the information, on how I did and which sources I have used.
Hey thanks for that - I can't PM you though yet (not enough posts) and it looks like you're in the same position as me. Maybeif we check out each others profiles we'll find a way to do it.

This is of MAJOR concern. Do you know how many people have said this to me? "Ive got this great product, now all I need to find is customers..."

In the world of internet marketing, you find your customers first, then develop the product.

Do your research BEFORE doing anything, trust me.

Hey Johnny, thanks for your advice, but I am in the middle of a fair bit of research, and already know the market very well. Agree with what you're saying though.
