Hey Guys, I need some advice here. I have a health-natural cure site that I was doing keyword research for and found a great micro niche with tons of traffic and not very much competition at all.

What I am wanting is some advice on how to monetize this traffic. I am already having trouble with selling a natural cures ebook on my site. I dont think any cpa offers will relate to the traffic. no colon cleanses or other diet or health related offers have converted at all..also no clickbank products will sell so should I not even go after this micro niche?

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to monetize the traffic? I already have one ebook that took quite a bit of time to write that doesnt sell so I dont really want to write another one that doesnt sell either...tough niche!

Thanks everyone!

Your landing page and probably your articles are giving you the headache! It is NOT the products! This is a FACT.... Many warriors have trouble and go to bootcamps run by really helpful warriors like Don & Jeremy for instance.

If you want to monitize keywords that are or look like there are worth it, make an adsense site or have someone make an adsense site for you.... BUY HIGH QUALITY articles. NOT PLR but original quality content...

There is your free tip for the day!

keep that in mind.. the product does not need to have direct relation with the keywords.. there may be few products for those keywords.. but in a more general category.. there may be plenty.. why not try some different products and see which one converts..

    Possibly Adsense.
Check for the # of advertisers (spyfu.com, keywordspy.com) and also check the CPC estimate.
If the CPC is decent you might be able to make some $$.

I know you said that Clickbank prods won't sell, but look to see if they have any decent products related to this micro niche/keyword. If the product seems decent, has good stats, and a good website, maybe go the affiliate route.

I'll take a stab at it:

Most likely you have one of these two types of sites:

      1. Main focus is on your product, in this case your ebook. It's a sales letter type of site with the only goal of getting the visitor to buy or leave.

      2. You have an information site. Visitor comes to find info then they leave. If you are lucky they sign up for your email list and maybe click an ad on their way out making you a little bit of money.

In case #1: Are you getting a lot of traffic, but no sales? Is it targeted traffic? If it is, then your sales letter or something else on your site isn't working.

In case #2: Is it an information site or blog? If it is, then you can make a little with adsense, perhaps an affiliate ad or selling ads. This also requires traffic, even more so than case #1. This type of site I tend to set and forget. Also I do not spend much time developing these sites. My goal is to spend only 2 hours on such a site (btw, I have not met that goal yet - still working on a system).

If you are not getting traffic, then that's a big problem you need to overcome.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the answers.

The one thing I havent tried is adsense and some of you are recommending it...but I just didnt want to go that route and have 5,000 visitors on my site every month and only make 20 bucks with all that traffic..in my opinion that's terrible! but if the cpa offers and ebooks wont sell then I guess I have no choice or I can sell the site and let someone else try to monetize it...I am not sure if I want to sell it just yet though...too much hard work put into it and I am sure I wont get what I think its worth....anyone else with any suggestions or advice?

    Thanks

That's not a lot for 5000 visitors. Are these targeted visitors? Are they using buying keywords to find your site or are they looking for free information? Are you offering a product people want? If so then something on your site isn't working. Could be the way it looks, your sales pitch or something else. Your site needs to have credibility and must look trustworthy.

With 5000 visitors even adsense should make you over $20 per month if you cannot find a better way of monitizing it (CPA, affiliate product, etc.).

Without knowing your site, I guess there is probably something with your site that can be tweaked. I think people want natural heath cures so your topic sounds good to me. You may want to fiddle with it a bit before you change course. Small changes sometimes reap large results.

    Put up a poll
    What are you looking for?
what has been the hardest info to find?
if you found the perfect info here, what would be in it?
    etc, etc
    -Use Livingston style research-
(offer a future free copy if you don't get many responses)

have an e-book written which addresses the answers
sales page uses most common answers as bullet points the e-book addresses

sell the crap out of it!

Here's a different perspective for you.

You say you have one ebook that doesn't sell that you wrote. Are you a natural health professional? You don't say you are - so why would anyone want to buy from you?

You already said you want to stay clear of cpa and CB products - everyone's selling them, so unless you have something better to offer they will get you nowhere.

      What can you do?

You say you have found a great micro-niche. Don't write about it yourself. Find someone who can. A real, local natural health professional who can write a "proper" ebook about the condition and it's treatment (or whatever the micro niche is).

Use their experience, their photos, their remedies, their approach, their diagnostic criteria, their dietary approach, their ............

Then you have a genuine product, with genuine advise, written from genuine experience and which isn't available anywhere else on the net.

Then set up a site and sell it. Offer to share the profits with the writer.
