Hmmm, I like to have my domains without the www because it's easier to see the domain name. I don't know how to achieve what you want. You could try this old trick
www.www-mydomain.com if you really want the www for some reason.

This is a common question. Some people like it one way, some the other.

By default my control panel sets it up without all the w stuff, and that's the way I like it so I didn't even look into it. Check with your hosting and they should be able to give you simple directions.

You can also do it with a .htaccess file but that gets a little more complicated.

What sort of site have you got on the domain? Is it a Wordpress blog?

        Yeah, few of them are.
I found a way to do it by editing the htaccess file, is that the same for wordpress based domains?

Wordpress will always redirect to the Site URL you've got defined in the database. So if you've set the site URL with the www. then the site will always redirect to www.yoursite.com, and vice versa.

If you'd like to change this, you can do so from within your WP admin area, in Settings > General > Wordpress Address

For Wordpress go into the wp-admin backend, look on the lower left side, go to Settings, General, and add the www to your url's, then press Save. It will log you out, and you'll now have the www displayed.

you can basically do a 301 redirect and tells search engine to index your www version
of the website instead of non-www version. I see some of my clients got that issue early on.

And it is a very common issue that most webmasters got wrong when they first built the
    website,
