Best Way to Protect your Product and Download Page?

Somebody just downloaded my product without paying...

so now I am wondering what is the best way to protect your product and download page?

Right now, I am thinking about getting DLGuard, but honestly, it is a little too pricey for me.

But is that the only option I have, or are there others like it?

(Also, I just looked on the description on DLGuard, and it said, it can create membership sites...how is this capability to create membership sites compared to aMemberPro? Is it better?)

DLGuard is the best option to protect your products. It's an "investment" in your business. It also lets you launch and deliver products easily with Clickbank or Paypal.

For the beginner, it's a great choice.

If that's too pricey, here is another cheaper option:

DL Guard is probably the best solution, as others have said. But if you're on a budget you might consider e-junkie.

E-junkie Shopping Cart for selling downloads & tangible goods

It's an inexpensive service, and if you Google for an "e-junkie coupon" you'll be able to find a coupon that can get you the first 2 -3 months free.

e-Junkie provides your subscribers with a download link that is only good for a specific number of attempts (you can regenerate one for legitimate customers who have lost their links). It also seamlessly integrates with PayPal and AWeber.

DLGuard will pay for itself over and over again. By far the best solution and if you plan on selling digital products, it's an expense you won't regret.

    Jason,

I sympothize with you, honestly I do but there isn't much you can do about. Thieves will be thieves, and they will try to get free products. So, do what you can to at least slow them down. I know DLGuard is about the best you will find. Try it.

Question - Why did you start ye another thread asking the same question? If someone doesn't respond immediately, have a little patience. If you don't like the answers in the one thread, same thing applies - be patient, someone will come by and post what you want to see.

Thanks for the advice, but that other thread was regarding what to do when that person downloaded my product illegal, this one was about how to protect the download page.

yeah, I guess I will give DL Guard a try.

If you want to do it the cheap way- get another private domain name- put all your products & everything else on that.

or get a programmer to code it for you to protect your content- simple coding.

I'd backup the recommendation for DLGuard. For anyone getting started it's the perfect solution, and you should definately just think of it as an investment in your business.

As other people have said, it also provides a whole lot more than just download security. It has a complete interface to help you manage your downloads, create new membership areas, and it integrates with your autoresponder etc.

It's also worth mentioning Sam Stephens (the developer and fellow warrior member) provides support which is absolutely awesome - any problems you have he'll normally get back to you in 24 hours or less.

James, so it pretty much does everything aMember Pro does, but with that protective download and product capability and more function because I was also looking for ways to create membership site and was thinking about aMember Pro?
