Bum Marketing .... Question

I've done the keyword research, got all the sections of the site laid out, got the content done.

I was looking on uploading to Wordpress.com for a free blog, try to minimize spending as much as possible as my income is slow.

Would using free blogs have any affect on SERPs and ranking?

If you are sure that you need to use a free blog... then go with Blogger...

Free WordPress will slap you silly with even a hint of promotion.

Go with blogger, then invest profits into your own property.

You should even find it easier to rank in the short term. The most important step is to move on to a self hosted wordpress domain of your own as quickly as possible.

With blogger though it's a little difficult to create site sections and heirarchies like you can with Wordpress. I guess that's the price you pay for a free blog.

Im thinking of maximum profits with little outcome. But the main question is will this have any impact on SERPs. I know it will have issues with conversions as some people may not trust a blogger, so I might lose a few there.

I'd go with blogger too (same reason Jay says). I know Geoff Shaw has a good course called Bum Blogging which was cheap in the WSO section (not sure if it's gone up) and is a structured way to build a big network and list using free blogs.
