How to Price My Product Online --- I live in INDIA

Hello Friends

The biggest problem I face while selling my products ONLINE is to decide at what price I must sell

You see I live in INDIA
Value of $ 1 is 50 Times the value of 1 Rs

When I decide to sell under $ 10 I am getting responses like
( Cheating, stolen contents, Scam fraud, The Product is worthless... etc)

But you See 10 $ is comfortable for me...

But when I decide to go for high price like $17, $27 or so on..
I can not decide what is the impact of the price on peoples mind

You see most of my buyers are from US and Europe

I started a Year back with 50 + resale rights products and Priced 10 $
I got emails people complaining

Are these stolen contents?
Is this a Scam... Or something like that .

The fact was that I researched online and got these products from many marketers
Most of them where Master Resale Rights given away

You see I have never been to US and I don't know their standard of living

I live in INDIA (Hosting and other services are cheap)
I offer $ 10 or Low Because I could ...

I would definitely like to sell at much higher price if I could know the exact Value...

If I would have been selling in INDIA I Know this is Not a problem...

I know exact financial background of people

Their reactions at any Price Levels

I could easily compare the value with the price....

But you see My market is in US and Europe and I cannot read anything about people..

Can anyone of you help me with this problem

Thank You

Can you compare your product to other products in your market place?
If yes, then check how they price their products.

It is true that price is often directly proportional to the value product in minds of many people.

I can see why you want to have lower prices but if you have a higher price then you would need lesser sales to get more revenue.

If I were you, I would check out other products in my niche.

Hi, Im assuming that you're selling E-books? I live and work from the U.K and in general I sell a 5 to 10 page product for $10 to $15. I also sell some for upwards of $47. An average price would be $27 for a 20+ page product. Most of my customers are from the USA and I have never had the response you're getting.
      Ask yourself;
      1) Is your product well packaged? ie good covers.
      2) Do you have resell rights?
      3) What are others selling this Item for?
      4) Have you read any of the products you're selling? and would you be happy paying for them?

      Hope this helps.
      Regards. Dherm

compare the product with similar products. You can also price it in such a way that many will have access to it, you should however ensure you are making some profit.

In pricing a product online, it must be lower because you don't need to pay for rent, employees, etc. So it must be less price than your competitors whose not selling online.

I had the same problem as you many years ago.

Rule of thumb: Think of your MAXIMUM 'best' price as computed in rupees.

    TRIPLE IT.

    Convert to US dollars.

    Price it - and test.

Usually, you'll not notice a drop in sales. If it does drop, consider lowering your price.

More likely, you'll find sales picking up. Then, increase in increments, testing all the way - until you hit the 'sweet spot'.

My first IM ebook, "Ezine Launch", started out as a $5.00 download - and went all the way to $147... and is value even at that price. For many years, it was sold at a discounted $49.95 - and had only ever ONE refund! (It isn't for sale any longer, though)

    Hope this helps.

    All success

    Hello

I also live in India. The price for digital products doesn't really matter a lot if you:
    1. Have quality product
    2. Have rave reviews
    3. Overdeliver

People can and will pay you, if you will accomplish all of these.

It's interesting that you said a low-priced product attracted bad feedback. I've heard many marketers say that a low-priced product is more likely to attract "annoying customers" in the sense that the users request more support and more refunds.

What Dr Mani was solid. Dr Mani, you said to gradually increase the price and find the sweet spot. What further suggestions do you have to test the price like scripts or anything else to make it effective?
