Alternative website structure to replace single-page sales letter?

I'm looking at redesigning my website, as I have noticed a reduced effectiveness in the single-page, long form sales letter for my particular niche.

So if the single-page sales letter is not as effective anymore, then what sort of website structure IS?

Can anyone recommend a good structure or template?

Better yet, can you show me some examples?

Thanks.

P.S. I'm not looking to rehash the old "Death of the Sales Letter" discussions. Just looking into alternatives.

P.P.S. I'm pretty sure Jim Edwards has written about this in the past with a "wagon wheel" approach or something. If anyone knows anything about that, please pass that along.

Might as well start with Michel Fortin's proposal for what should replace the long sales letter: The Death of The Salesletter | The Michel Fortin Blog

I think you'll find this a good starting point for your own creativity.

A gradual but significant reduced conversion rate over time.

But you're asking a good question, Alexa, because it's not as if I have tweaked the page very much over time . . . and I have to admit that I am very open to the argument from those who say that the public is feeling battle fatigue over the sales letter format.

So . . . I'd to hear why you ask that (because I have the feeling there might have been a point buried in there), or I'm open to hearing other insights you have. Thanks.

The "modern" style of web design leans heavily on the "960 Grid"

    960 Grid System

Poke around there and see if you find any inspiration.

Yes, how do you know it's the single page sales letter format? I think most are still doing quite well with them, myself included.
