I am not driving PPC to the page yet only links on posts / videos and on the front of my site.

I wonder what the average subsciption rate is for optin pages ???

Anyway its not too bad - i havent even split tested or anything yet - not much point untill i start getting more traffic to it.

Not too bad but it can be a whole lot better!

I remember watching this video about how they changed the squeeze page around. They had something like a 200% increase in conversions. From 20% to 60% I think. If I find it I'll post it here. Maybe someone else knows about it?

They took the opt-in box and put it at the top right just above "fold". The fold is the line in between the viewable area and non-viewable area at the bottom when you first see a page.

Then they made the page look more professional and gave it a corporate look.

The best part about it is they didn't change the copy at all! Yet they got such a tremendous response... all because they changed the design and layout.
