Fellow Warriors:

After reading other threads about hosting, I plan to with hostgator, even though earlier I thought about BlueHost.

Now, my questions are:

1. What is the difference between baby plan at $7.95/month and RESELLER hosting @ $24.95/month. Right now, I only have one domain registered.

2. What is the meaning of sub-domain?

Thanks,
Isa.

A reseller account allows you to resell hosting to third parties. For regular internet marketing, go with the baby plan.

A subdomain is the part of a URL that prefixes your domain name. For example: blog.mysite.com (blog is the subdomain, that may point at an arbitrary folder on your disk).

Hostgator has more features, and is much easier to work with than bluehost.

The advantage of a reseller plan for many of us has nothing to do with reselling hosting.

Each site is a standalone site with it's cpanel - bandwidth and space is easily maaged for sites and there a central WebHost Panel (WHM) that allow you to check all sites in one place.

If you just will have one or two sites for now you don't don't reseller - you can upgrade later. For multiple sites, it's more efficient to me than messing with add-on domains.
