Income Proofs: Best Way To Present Authenticity

All these salespages with income shots.

If it is clickbank, they require real screenshots, but I suppose you can always switch after they approve your page.

There is video presentation of your commissions...but I guess anything can be faked.

Testimonials are supposed to be real, but then again, those too can be fake.

So, my question is: How can you tell if a salespage has authenticity?

    Hey Mark,

Its true that income proofs can be faked and some IMers do fake their income screenshots, I think testimonials especially on WSO section of this forum is a good way to show that a product is any good. But outside this forum and on original sales pages its quite hard to judge and when you try looking for reviews of a product on Google everyone is just trying to shove their affiliate link down your throat, lol. I think the person behind the product, if he/she is established in the particular niche is probably the best way to show authenticity of a product.

On a technical level, you can never be 100% sure because anything can
      be faked.

Therefore, you have to go by the reputation of the product creator. This
is why I never buy anything from anybody who hasn't been established for
      some time.

      Fair?

Maybe not. But with all faked screen prints and testimonials, that's what
it's come down to for me.

And it's a pretty sad commentary on the state of this industry.

    I look for:

    The join date
    Post count
    Thanks given
    Thanks received

Then I go through their most recent posts and make sure they give good customer support and contribute to the community.

If everything so far is cool, I'll buy.

But that is if they are on WF.
But many product vendors are not on this forum and are good products.

I dont know why people rely so heavily on income proof. Ive seen so many posts where people ask ""can I see proof of income" but what does that tell you. It might not be their account, they may have not made all that money with the method their selling you or they may have paid a ton of money in advertising to get that level of income and for all you know they could have spent more on tools, outsourcing articles or whatever than they actually made.

So if your going to ask for proof of income then you may as well go the whole hog and ask for proof of expenditure as well.

Yes I think income proof doesnt really mean that much. Profit proof would mean a heck of a lot more but then again, how can you really show profit proof authentically?

If somebody has an income of 10 billion, who really cares if his/her costs are 50 billion.

Youve really got to base your opinion on things like testimonies later in the WSO where people arent being incentivized to leave good feedback. Also history and thanks means a lot.

For regular products, I mean it is hard. Its a risk product purchasers take. At the end of the day you will purchase some bad products, its part of the business. Ask for a refund if you want but most importantly just move on.

Like Steve W says, I pretty much only buy from established members. Others are off my radar.
So, are you both saying you only buy stuff from established warriors?

That is limiting your growth, is it not?

Doesn't limit my growth one bit.

        Very little I need anyway.

I don't pay much attention to income proof. I buy a lot of WSO's and am often happy just to pick up a new way of thinking about some topic in which I'm not well versed. CPA's a good example. I was a total newbie a few months ago, but then I bought maybe 6-8 products sold here. Only one or two of them were silly. The rest taught me something that will probably serve me well if/when I decide to really dig into that part of IM. I just don't think buying a WSO with your rent money is ever a good idea. Find a business model from all the free info on this and other forums. Pick a course of action and make some money. Then spend some of it occasionally on WSO's if you're so inclined and think of every purchase as a learning expense and nothing more. You'll be happier and not disappointed as much as amused when you buy a dud.

Same here, I don't pay attention to income proof, I try more to read between the lines and see what the offer really is.

I also for 90% of my products don't make income claims, for the reasons posted above. However if I do have to make income claims or I need to see income claims I prefer video...but even that can be faked.
