is there a newbie section?

INTERNET MARKETING

I am looking for a way to follow the responses to the threads that I post.

At this time, the only way I have found to accomplish this is to dig through all the posts until I find mine, then open it and take a look.

Is there a better way to keep track of the threads that I post?

I will keep searching away, any help is greatly appreciated here. As I am coming to love this WF hangout and plan to participate in full capacity when I can.

What I usually do to find my postings is:
- I click my name in the upper right.
- Then statistics
- Then "find posts by..."
- And then check if it has any new replies.

This is good if you have many posts, to avoid filling up your inbox ;o)

There isn't a newbie section, although members have discussed the issue before. Ultimately it would be up to Allen, as the owner, to decide.

Consensus of opinion was that it might not be the big benefit new people would think it would. It was thought that it would be best to post your questions in the main (or appropriate) forum and have them dealt with there. A special forum for newbies might not be visited by the more experienced Warriors as much as it should be.

I'd suggest making good use of the search facility. If you use that then it may reduce the number of common questions constantly appearing on the site.

The Adeel Chowdhry's videos that are sticky in the main forum are an excellent introduction to the mechanics of this place.

Sometimes, newbies can often help newbies. Experienced advice, as I have noticed, the real, valuable exeprienced advice, costs money. No matter how you turn the issue. The guru's/seniors/... probably won't help me if I posted in the main forum.

Reality check here. Your post did not go unanswered - but there is no guarantee that someone will answer immediately. You had replies in two hours but had already complained about no one answering.

There are always lots of people reading on this forum - but it may take time to get some answers, especially to very general questions.

The more focused the questions you ask - the better the answers will be.

Excuse my impatience

Seeing all those members online in this part of the forum got me a little pumped. I do realize that it's a little "lazy" to present a profile and to expect a business plan delivered on a silver platter.
I realize I just need to reformulate my question.

To reel things back on topic, there's several mods that allow people to post on certain fora if they meet certain criteria (activity, reputation, post count, etc...). Perhaps it could fit into the "newbie" forum idea...?

Hi Keith: If you go to the top of this page and click on the arrow just to the right of USER CP, and then click on SUBSCRIBED THREADS, you will see all of the threads that you have posted to, whether you were asking or answering a question. Hope that helps.

Agreed. The problem of having a newbie forum, is that MANY people would exploit it. So called "Guru's" will try to sell their products there all of the time.
But other than that, I love the idea!

I think the best thing to do is read, and join the discussions in this forum and update yourself with new knowledge. There is no need for new forums for it.

if you really need of important threads you should definately read into, check this out Best Warrior Threads and get yourself informed.

  But seriously....
  
  You can set your profile so that it automatically subscribes you to all the threads you post to and start. I had mine set to auto subscribe initially because I kept forgetting to do the little drop-down Thread Options and subscribe to individual posts.
  
  It might help you in the beginning to just set the auto subscribe.
  
  Go to your CP (Control Panel)
  Click on Edit Options
  Scroll down to Messaging & Notification
  Look for Default Thread Subscription Mode
  
  You can set it to auto and whether or not you want to be notified when someone posts on your subscribed threads.
