Conversion Tracking on Wordpress

I am driving traffic to a wordpress page via adwords and am trying to setup conversion tracking when people leave their comments. Where can I put that conversion tracking since people come back to the page where they were once the comment is submitted?

Any ideas?

You need to create a special thank you page within your wordpress account. /thankyou

After you create that page, you need to add it into your "funnel" in analytics.

    Simple as that.

    Hope that helps...

Well, actually, it is NOT simple as that...

Unless you mess with the core WP files (which means putting in your modifications after every upgrade!) the comment posting mechanism will always redirect you the the single post view of the commented post, adding the #comment-ID# to the end of the URL.
    i.e. example.com/post-title#comment-876

Basically, you want to track how many times they click on the submit button, I guess.

from what i found so far, you need to modify functions.php file within wordpress

    Is this addressed to me?

Which functions.php file? The one from your active theme or the one from the wp-includes folder?

Actually, the posting of the comments and the redirection to the same page happens with the wp-comments-post.php from the root folder of WP. Check out the bottom of the page
