Ok - Hope I can explain this and someone can help. I want to submit some unique articles to the major article directories. Within the article (Or in the bio at the bottom with the backlink) do I put a link back to my home/sales page or does the backlink go to another hosted article on my site ? Thanks in advance |

I always put my sales page...if people want to go somewhere after they are done reading your article then get them to your sales page, not another article! |

It depends, what are you trying to rank? your sales page or another article. First off, make your keyword your anchor text and then if you want another article to rank for that keyword, point the anchor text to that article. |

You can make that link go where you want. As long as it conforms to the directory TOS (Terms Of Service). For instance, I know that EzineArticles does not want you to use an affiliate link. If you have two pages on your site that you would like to get backlinks then you could use your links in the resource box go to the two separate pages on your site. Or if you have another article on another directory that you want to link to you can do that too. |

Do you need to anchor link at the bottom? Or can you add a few links during the article with the key words?

hushy, most directories will only allow you to use your links in the resource (author's) box at the bottom. There was a time when you could include links in the article if you were referring to a specific site like Blogger. Then you could have a link to Blogger as an anchor. It is more professional but like all things, a few million bad apples spoils the warehouse. |
