The forces of procrastination...

are powerful indeed. Faced this weekend with the necessity, if I intend to make any income online, of writing my first blog entry (which must, of course, impress the world), I found that I would rather begin reading Proust's Remembrance of Things Past (2500 pages), a novel I've been avoiding for over 10 years, LOL.

Help!

Once you accept that your first blog entry (and the second, third, etc) are not going to impress the world - it will be easier to do.

You don't have to get it perfect...just have to get it done.

Pull up notepad - think of 10 topics you want to blog about and write a blurb on each topic - then add them to your blog and get started. Trust me, it's easier than reading Proust!

Please do not 'release balloons' for celebrations. The balloons and trailing ribbons entangle birds and kill wildlife and livestock that think the balloons are food.

Don't put it off! Just do something!!

The sooner you get it done, the sooner you make $$$.

I find it helpful to do research w/in my niche of other bloggers posting on my topic, etc. Often, I find something that gets me riled up enough that I suddenly find many, many, many words.

Nothing makes you a wordsmith faster than controversy.

Absolutely, when you have a passion for the topic, it makes it so much easier. I'll bet most people would have no trouble writing about the economy or politics right now.

Always moving toward the goal. That a key part of my philosophy. There is always something small you can do right now to move something forward, even if the end result can't be achieved today.
