Is it bad to put a whole article in the youtube description?

I was kinda thinking of this as an idea.

Exploit to your heart's content. Right now you can put an article of thousands of words there. And I wouldn't do it, but you can keyword stuff there. Bad long term strategy.

      Ask a different question.

How is putting the whole article in my description going to benefit my traffic, and my viewers?

If the answer is "It won't", then don't.

If the answer is "It might", then don't.

If the answer is "It will benefit both", then do.

Unless there is a really compelling reason to do it, it makes much more sense to move them quickly on to your blog, website, opt-in, etc.

The reason you should put articles in your YouTube descriptions is for greater search visibility. Google, Bing, and Yahoo! all index the descriptions in YouTube videos. Want proof? Here's a randomly selected phrase by the WF's own SDEntrepreneur for one of his YouTube videos, on Yahoo, Bing, and Google.

I've been doing this for the past 6 months and have had success with it. Not only will Google pick up your video for certain keywords, but it'll also help when somebody types a specific keyword in youtube.

I don't think it will have any value, I mean after all people don't go to Youtube to read articles, furthermore, I don't think it has any SEO value. I would say, Test it, and find out the results for yourself. I've see many people keyword stuff there descriptions and tags.

I would just add that all the rules of article marketing, I would add to it as well.

      Do it.

I'd put a whole novel in there if I had time.

That's all I'm going to say.
