Hi Everybody,

I have a question re the EPN, for which I have just received approval. Does anyone know whether the EPN would be aware if I DON'T use the website which I submitted and was approved for?
I seem to recall being told that once you get EPN approval you can pretty much use whichever sites you want to monetize with, and I don't really want to use the site they approved me for.
Thanks

Yes, you can use any site to promote epn, it is not necessary to use the same site which you put into epn when you applied.

    Thanks.

Pm me if you want to earn more from the epn.

How does that add to the community? Why not share with everyone reading this post?

If you've been rejected contact them directly and ask them for a manual review of your website and your application.

Be polite and professional. Tell them how you plan to promote eBay. Be specific... example: "I use Wordpress and phpBay Pro plugin to create content sites in specific niches using natural search and PPC to drive traffic to my web properties."

Don't have a ton of ads, AdSense, or banners on your application site.

      Contact them here:

To the OP: you sure can promote other websites. From your ePN account just create a new campaign for each website so it's easy to track your results.

eBay has a bad policy of not telling people exactly why they weren’t accepted. I simply gave up and signed up with ShareASale. I'm pretty happy with them.

Geting an EPN approval is a valuable commodity. Using it on other sites than was approved is fine. If you are rejected, you need to find a humna at ebay, and don't be afraid to move up the ladder within ebay. The first line of defense is designed to say no.

Stick to their TOS and you will be fine. Yes they can see everywhere you place your codes. Only put ads on YOUR domains or risk being banned.

Hmm... I've had my EPN code in widgets, placed on over 50 other sites
for about a year now... and everythings fine and still earning money?

I'll admit, I havent read their TOS but as long as the traffic is "quality"
(or what they call "quality") everything appears to be ok.

Here's a tip in getting approved.

Setup a corporate looking website like, devilmarketing .com or whatever.
In your application, you want to add that url and state that you are a "media buyer".

Now, anyone can be a media buyer, you can buy google ad words right?
      facebook ads?

congratulations, you're now a media buyer.

Now you can claim that you can receive between 5K-10K visits.

This is how I was approved over 2 years ago now,
however, I am not sure about the application process these days...

But eBay want to see that you can bring the traffic.

and NEVER check the "email submit" box,
      they dont want spammers...

      remember you're a "media buyer",
you'll have more of a chance at getting accepted.

    @Aj Wilson

I recommend you take a look at their tos or go to their forums to investigate further, they banned putting your ads on third party sites about 3-6 months ago.

I've read a lot of dissatisfied people who are in the EPN. I was going to apply today but it sounds like ebay has went down hill from how you use to earn money with them. I guess it's hit and miss day to day.

If anyone can shed some light on how they like EPN, I'll be very grateful.

You can use any site you want
But don't ever click on your own links
It will get you in serious trouble.

As far as I am aware, when you insert eBay Ads into your website you have to register each individual website with them - Quote from eBay "You are required to provide each domain that will drive traffic for this account by following the activation instructions". The activation instructions include for you to insert an "Activation Code" ,which they supply, onto your server for that website and to then submit that site so they can verify insertion of the activation code. There is a register within your eBay control panel where all your websites show as confirmed or unconfirmed.

So, from the above, it seems reasonable to think that they are interested in which websites include their Ads. Whether or not they take action against anyone who works outside their terms I would'nt know but I'd rather work within their terms than outside, afterall it, only takes a few seconds to carry out what they ask for.
