LOL..Ya Gotta Rewrite Your Promo Email Guys!

This made me laugh -
Jit and Adam sure are popular

Don't mind affiliate emails from people whose list I'm on, it's part of the game after all.

But, if you're mailing as part of a launch or promo etc it might just a good idea to rewrite those "boilerplate" affiliate emails... so they don't all start... "My friend(s) [insert name here]..."

Otherwise you get this...
#affiliate #email #lolcant #rewrite

Yup, that is ironical. The thing is, do those words actually improve CTR? Anybody tested it?

ha ha - the times I've received an email like this it just makes me cringe. Also, when a super duper mega guru sends you the exact same message that you just received from the 5 other super mega guru's list your on - priceless!
"Hi [firstname], my buddies Dave, Dee, Dozy Beaky, Mick & Titch have just launched a new article spinner..........." lol

Whenever this happens it makes me laugh.

Of course email marketing is part of the IM game but c'mon - surely it does not take to much time to make the promo emails a little more unique.

In the IM world so many people are on the lists of several marketers - when they get the exact same message from different marketers within hours it just looks extremely amateurish.

C'mon guys - use the promo emails as a guide and make them unique.

I totally agree. If you would take 2-3 minutes to edit the message a little bit you would stand out from the crowd.

So they've got lots of friends in the internet marketing niche. Gotta slightly envy them for that.

SO if you get a similar email 4-5 times, which one would you click on?

The one you got first, last or a random one in the middle?

Or none I suppose is the other (more favourable option).

All they need to do is spin their own email with their spinner for sale! Then we wouldn't sickeningly spin when a snare is spun of shockingly similar salutations.

I'd unsubscribe from all of them. The purpose of an email subscription is for someone to share with me a fresh idea that could not have come from anyone else. The price of continued admittance to my mailbox is that there's at least a fresh introduction to an old idea.

Earl Nightingale talked about people who "follow the followers" like caterpillars chasing the caterpillars ahead of them, who are chasing the ones ahead of them... If you put 'em in a circle next to food, they'll follow each other until they all starve. What good does that do anybody other than to transfer money from the caterpillars at the back of the line to the caterpillars in the middle of the pack?

A tad harsh perhaps... for me it depends on how much good content they normally supply. All it takes is one good tip after all...

Worst is people who use the exact same title!

At least then i maybe only open one but if it's different then i may open all of them.

But i re-write all of my email promo's that i send out of respect to my list... they all have my personal views on the product and are not always positive.

In my opinion saving someone money if a product is crap is just as good as making an affiliate commission on something that is good. Both come hand in hand and by saving i make more as they have more to spend on the good stuff.

It's not only the duplicates that make me laugh, but when you get a "form" email and it is signed by "Your Name Here" as in the person sending it didn't even insert their own name, just a straight copy n paste.

If is a newbie it's ok that he takes the affiliate package from the resource page. And copy/paste the email, the squeeze page, and the ads word by word. Because he is a newbie. But recieving the same email from differents so called gurus (some people I do respect)... I just don't get it. Perhaps they are outsourcing their email campaigns to some lazy assistants.

I'm newbie and lazy as hell (the main reason why I'm still broke), but even I rewrite the emails to promote a product.
