backlinks question, any benefit from in this link ratio?

Ok, so lets say a pr 3 website with 5 outgoing links, but has 5300 links to inner pages on the home page, and all the rest of it's pages (literally no joke)

from what you guys know is there any benefit at all to getting your link on that page or is the pr split slim to none, which is what I am thinking.

This is a real question not hypothetical at all

    Seo section is more appropriate. I don't understand your question. . Five outgoing links is good for you to be on. links to inner pages is actually building up the Pr in the site provided the site has good navigation on all pages.

        I dont see how I can make it anymore clear.

        I understand the links to internal pages are building up it's pr but is having 5000 internal links on every page of the site pointing inwards, and 5 links going to external pages really benefiting the 5 external pages for backlinks at all?

        Yes it's giving it a backlink but is it a quality backlink considering the massive amounts of links already on every single page?

    I don't understand what other people were confused by, its perfectly clear. 5 links to external pages, and 5300 links to internal pages, all on the home page.

    Its going to divide PR by 5305. However if those 5300 pages are linking back to the home page, its going to come back. So really its "kind of" ok to say that there are really only 5 out bound links that matter. So yes, I would get a link, but if your paying for it I would leverage the 5300 links to your advantage for a cheaper price.

    All in all though, its not as good as if it really did only have 5 OBL on the page.

    Thanks thats what I figured, actually the 5300 other links are linking to every subpage of the entire site. Not the home page, but I do get what you meant and thank you very much for your help in reinforcing an assumption I had.
