For those who run their own affiliate system...
I'm working on a new project which will have its own affiliate system. I'm considering using paypal for the payment system and offering affiliates a percentage.
If you run your own system, rather than rely on Clickbank or whoever to pay your affiliates, how do you work it? Do you have something thats set up that's automatic? When do you pay your affiliates? 30 days after a signup, 60 days (ie: to avoid paying out due to cancellations/chargebacks).
What works well? What mistakes did you make which you wish you had avoided?
