How much do you spend in marketing?

INTERNET MARKETING

Hi,

I was just wondering, how much do you guys spend specifically for marketing costs (ppc, hiring other people for article writing, advertising, etc)?

Specifically how much % of your profits do you invest into marketing?

I would be interested to see what is a solid % to invest back into marketing...

So take time to take this poll and also comment on what PERCENTAGE you think it is IDEAL to invest back into marketing...

The experts say you should invest half of the money you make back into your business. Makes sense to me that way you build your business up to an unstoppable cash generating machine.

Experts say that huh?

Can you provide a list of maybe 2 of these "experts" who are saying this? Seriously I'd like to know who they are.

There is no ideal amount to reinvest. You create a business plan and a marketing plan and you follow it.

You can only do what is best for your business.

If some other guy is spending $500 a month on PPC should you?

I have read that on numerous occasions just stating what i read not gonna sit here and argue with you. My point is if your investing your marketing dollars correctly you will see more traffic, and more sales, and your business will flourish that much quicker.

Just my opinion and no if someone jumped off a bridge would you? You do whats best for you and your business whatever that may be. What works for one person might not work for another. Trial@error is key!

In the early days I reinvested 100% profit..anything that didn't cover an expense went back in.

Now I'd say it's more like 10%. I'd have to start a whole new line of business to try and invest much more than that and whatever that was would probably be providing less ROI.

i would say i am spending around 10% of my profits back into investing...

one thing is you need to set up a system first before scaling up...for example, i spend most of my marketing costs on hiring article marketing...once i set up that system, then i can hire an additional writer to do more writing for me...

so it's not just spending money...but perfect your system FIRST and then spend the money...
